This morning we had David's Preschool Orientation for the 4's. He has moved from being a Cool Cat in the 3's to a Panda Pal in the 4's. His teacher is Ms. Jennifer and we are looking forward to another great year at Council Oaks Preschool!
Here are David and Adam fresh out of the bath this morning. They were so sweet eating breakfast together in our room while we both finished getting ready for work. It is fun to see these two enjoy each other so!
This morning Angie attempted to get video of Adam doing a few signs and saying a few of the words he knows... he had his own agenda. However, they were pretty cute not to post even though the video did not capture what he really knows.
Angie attempted again this afternoon after his doctor appointment which included several vacations and a trip to the lab for blood work. Just like David at 15 months we had to make an unexpected trip for blood work for Adam. It makes us extremely thankful for healthy boys and just doing these tests for precautions. Seeing your babies in such pain is so hard. Imagining the families of severely sick children and the pain they endure is hard - so appreciative of healthy boys!
Anyway, he again was uncooperative, but very cute!
So on to the stats:
Fifteen Months Height: 30.5 inches - 19th percentile Weight: 19 pounds 8 ounces -8th percentile Head Circumference- 46.5 cm - 40th percentile Twelve Months Height: 29 inches - 19th percentile Weight: 19 pounds 5.5 ounces -19th percentile Head Circumference- 46.4 cm - 60th percentile David at this age: Height: 30 inches - 25th percentile Weight: 17 pounds 12 ounces - below the 5th percentile Head Circumference - 44.5 cm - 5th percentile
It is funny because at this age David and Adam are only 1/2 inch apart in height.
They are only 2 pounds different in weight.
And they are 2 cm difference in head circumference.
Yet Adam just seems bigger.
It seems we will have healthy, happy, lean boys and for that we are truly grateful!
Angie and David made Nutella cookies a couple of weeks ago. They handed Adam the closed container to play with while they cleaned up the mess. Well, this little guy was able to open it and loved the way it tasted.
And David snuck one of those cookies into the bath tub.
Today our littlest guy turns 15 months old. It is hard to believe he is already so big. He is walking now more and more often, but still his preferred method of "transportation" is crawling. He still loves his big brother, now copying movements he makes, sounds he makes, and even crying when David cries.
Adam is talking more and more as well, he now says "eat eat" at meal time and "bite" if he wants you to try his food.
He has added another sign to his signing vocabulary, train. It is fun to watch him sign things that David never did and this is one of those that David would just say rather than sign.
Adam is getting easier for Greg to put down for naps, not really protesting.
He loves animals just like David always squealing with delight when he sees anything from a dog to a bird.
Adam enjoy brushing his teeth, playing with David in the bathtub, and would rather be outside than inside any time of day. His love of all balls is still very apparent, but he is also starting to really want to play cars and trucks with David. He also enjoys building block towers.
He does not like to be left with unfamiliar people - at church we get called most Sunday's before the service is over. Adam does interact with "friends" which is unusual and fun at the same time.
This little boy still wakes most night with Angie only having to get up 2-3 times rather than 6.
He is happy, healthy, and makes us smile all day long.
Adam Samuel - Happy 15 months!
Here is Adam bright and early this morning...
At out church picnic... he loves to see himself on the screen now - he is pointing at himself:)
When David was 18 months old for Christmas he received his playhouse outside. And though he still plays in it Adam is now enjoying it just a tad bit more than David. Look at this little guy so proud sitting on his front porch ringing the door bell!
Adam still chooses to crawl over walk although he is making progress. It is funny how at this age David seemed so much older because he was running, dancing, and spinning in circles. This Mama loves that Adam is taking life just a little slower. Sweet Adam walking the past couple of weeks...
Today we celebrate Grandpa Ed and wish him a very happy birthday. We marked this birthday with a family dinner Sunday night. We are so thankful for a Grandpa that loves our boys the way he does.
David invited Grandpa Ed to Chuck E Cheese for a birthday celebration and this Grandpa even accepted the invitation... funny the things David thinks of and lovely that a Grandpa would choose to spend his time at Chuck E Cheese.
Happy 70th Birthday Grandpa Ed - we love you!
