Mama's Heart

These were taken a couple of weeks ago one very early Friday morning on our way to work.  They have been on Angie's phone and they just really do melt her heart.  The background is the garage, but oh the love in these - its priceless.

A Different Ride

Saturday Angie left for a couple of hours and visited Costco for the first time ever.  It was fun and she enjoyed spending time with a friend, but while she was gone a few milestones happened.
Greg and the boys and the neighbors were out  front when Angie pulled up.  David could not wait for Angie to get out of her car after she pulled into the garage.  David was so excited because he wanted to show her something...

That's right - no more training wheels.  There were no falls, no upset little cries, lots of confidence and pride.  The neighbors told us this is the first time they have ever seen someone learn to ride a bike with no tears and no curse words from a parent....  All kidding aside - we are proud and know the balance bike for almost 2 years had a lot to do with it.
And so now the balance bike has been passed to Adam with the seat lowered and he can scoot around just like David.
The babies - are now big boys.  How we love their accomplishments - but wish time would slow down just a little it.

Teddy Bear Picnic

David had his Teddy Bear Picnic at school last Thursday.  He was to bring a teddy bear, but really wanted to bring his giraffe lovie.  SO, his teacher let him have two guests to the picnic, which was in a bear cave in their classroom!  David talked about the bear cave all week.

Duck Pond

Adam is still an animal lover just like Greg.  He literally could sit and watch and interact with wildlife all day long.
On Tuesday's Greg is home with the boys while Angie works.  And when Greg and Adam pick David up from school there is usually a fun outing planned for the three of them.
Last week Greg took the boys to the duck pond.  David loved to go to the pond when he was Adam's age.  And this pond is in the neighborhood that Greg grew up in - so Greg has many memories of fishing in this pond.  They had a great time and sent Angie pictures of their outing while she was working.
Daddy and son bonding - nothing better.

Three Peas in a Pod

They all just happened to be dressed alike - navy shirts khaki pants.
Angie tried for a picture - this was the best they could do!

Family Hike

Last Sunday we went on a family hike...  David decided everyone needed to be in camouflage for this adventure.  He also packed a "pack" with Adam's Lovey and his knife and water bottle.  He is a planner and a thinker for sure!
On our way...

 Can you find David?

 Angie's Whole Heart -
Adam fell and David came to the rescue with Adam's Lovey... before this moment we did not even know David had packed it.  What a great big brother!
David is going to protect us with his knife!

A little nature along the way...

Adam got hot and said, "Shirt off.  Pants off."  We compromised - shirt off pants on.

A fun family excursion right in our own neighborhood!

20 Months

Today Adam turns 20 months old. He is something else.
He loves to play hide and seek, race, play basketball, pretend to be a puppy and read.  He is a talker and singer.  Adam wants  to do anything his big brother is also doing.  He will talk in sentences much of the time and keeps us laughing all day long.
He is compassionate already  and sensitive to others.  He does not like David having to go to time out and will cry and until David is out.  If we are around others and a baby begins to cry he becomes very concerned and will pretend cry himself and say "Baby Oh No."
Most of the time he will pick up his toys, but he also likes to pick up a toy basket and say, "Dump Out Mama."  He is still most fond of pink bear and pink bear joins our family on most outings.  Reading is a very favorite activity.  He will read to himself or he will carry a pile of books to us, sit in our lap, and be very content listening and turning pages.
He is an observer and can also be a little flirt.
Adam Samuel you are a joy to have in our family and we are very thankful for such a happy healthy sweet Baby Boy!
Here is Adam before soccer this morning...
