Our Neighbor Suzie

We have a neighbor that loves our boys.  She is in seventh grade and comes down every afternoon or evening to play with them.  Saturday she brought down gifts for the boys she had put together all on her own.  She made games, coloring pages, bought gifts, and journals, packed snacks, and toys for our upcoming trip to Disney World.  She thought of everything they could need for their first plane ride!

The Amazing Everyday

Because we are unable to spend everyday with these two little ones even the simplest of things becomes a joy to be a part of.  The everyday swinging, riding bikes, running races, observing bugs,  and jumping off of rocks is just amazing when it is rare.  These everyday things make our lives full of joy and thankfulness.  These are some of our most incredible days - the simplest ones!

These Two Boys

We could spend all day with these two everyday and it still would not be enough time to enjoy them fully.  It is so nice that they enjoy each other with such independence!  After bath Angie was cleaning the bathroom and Greg was working - and these two were on their own enjoying books!
Brothers, they can be so incredibly sweet!

And a different night after a bath they were just enjoying each other...

These sweet faces... Our beautiful boys!

They are reading together more and more :)

28 Months

Adam is still such a sweet boy.  He is running faster and faster these days.  He also has become much more independent in the last month.  He still LOVES music and singing.  He will begin his soccer season this month.  He enjoys swinging, being outside, and playing puppies.  He is becoming more aware of television.  He is beginning to fight bedtime at night, but still loves a good nap.  He brings us so much joy and we are so thankful for this sweet, happy, silly, independent little boy!
Happy Birthday Adam Samuel!
When Adam is requested to smile or say cheese we get this...

But when we ask him not to say cheese we get this happy sweet little boy!

Little Minds

Thoughts from David...

Mom you are the prettiest Mom of my friends because you always have a pony tail.

I am 6 and I go to teenage school and I am a master ninja, ok?  Do you understand?

Thoughts from Adam...

I'm not Adam I'm a puppy - Bella - Ruff Ruff

You're a silly goose Mama and I'm funny.

Persepective

David is having a great year as a Ready Rocket.  We could not have a more perfect place for him to learn and grow!
These first few weeks they have studied quite a bit about each others families and even made a neighborhood with everyone's family and home.
David was asked to talk about his family a little and this was his perspective!
Here is David's home...
And here is what happens inside...

So apparently his perspective is that Adam gives himself a bath - alone, David plays - alone, Greg cooks dinner, and Angie - well of course she is always lounging on the couch.
For days this bothered Angie because well it just isn't true - she really could not remember the last time she sat on our couch - upstairs or downstairs...  And more than that it seems to give insight to our family dynamic - which it doesn't - Greg is not even home for dinner most of the time - much less able to cook it.  This assignment taught Angie to have a more open mind when working in  her own job at the perspective of students... it just may be off a little - OR A LOT!

Ready for Fall

This week begins the season of fall.  We are ready around here.  The temperature is hot, but the pool water is too cool to enjoy the swimming pool.  We are ready for some cool temperatures.
Here are our cute little pumpkins.
