Hazel

We kept our neighbors dog for a week.  The boys were thrilled.  Hazel is a sweet dog, but we are still sure our family is not ready for another dog!  Mama doesn't need one more thing to care for!

Gymnastics Camp

David has been telling us that he wants to take gymnastics.  This summer many of his school friends were going to gymnastics camp for a week.  We have never sent David off to any activity before without staying with him.  So, we only registered for one day of the camp.  4 of his friends from school were there.  He tried it, but has decided gymnastics is not for him.  Here he is as Angie dropped him off the morning of camp.

6 Years of Striding

6 years ago in mid July Angie took her first Stroller Strides class with David at 7 weeks old.
July 12, 2010
After she had Adam she happened to start back to class with both boys after taking 7 weeks off.
July 12, 2013
Both of our boys have been attending classes with Angie since they were each 7 weeks old.  It is nice that there is a way to set a healthy example of fun exercise for our boys.  It is a routine for us.  We all still enjoy it.  Angie would love for the boys to always fit in the stroller ready to cheer her on as she works out!
6 years after our first class!

Love them big and always want to remember these preschool years with them!

Goose Egg

Poor Adam was riding his motorcycle in the garage as we were heading to the pool.  He was going fast and flipped over the handlebars.  We have our first big bump of the two boys.  He still wanted to swim and all was well.

3 Years 2 Months

Today Adam is 84 months old.  And he is just as happy as ever - most of the time.
He still prefers Angie to anyone - kind of like his brother at this age.
He enjoys books and music.
He will not eat vegetables.
HE still crawls into our laps any chance he has.
He enjoys playing - restaurant, puppies, dinosaur, and tiger, soccer, swimming, running, ride on toys,  board games, but does not follow the rules, and of course building, digging, water play, and being a scientist.  He makes our world so much better!
Happy Birthday Adam Samuel.

When you are three in 30 seconds you can be happy...
Then Sad... ( he wanted to climb the fence and there was a sign that said Don't climb the fence.)
 Then Happy!

 This Sweet Face!
 They Do Love Each Other!

Funnies

At Bedtime:
Angie: Singing Jesus Loves the Little Children
Adam: Where is Jesus?
Angie: In Heaven
Adam: Why did Jesus die on the cross for us?
Angie: To forgive our mistakes so we can go to Heaven.
Adam: I think there will be scary tigers there.
Angie: No - just happiness is in Heaven
Adam: I don't want to go to Heaven.
Angie: Where do you want to go instead?
Adam: To Target

In the Car:

Adam: Mama I am starving, can you turn on a movie?
Angie: No, we are not watching movies.
Adam:  But Mama, I'm starving!
Angie: Adam, what does starving mean?
Adam: It means I want to watch a movie.

David: Mama I broke my head and now I can't think anymore!!

At Dinner:

Adam: My back hurts
Angie: Daddy should look at it.  He is a back doctor.
Adam: And a forwards doctor?
Greg:  Yes, Daddy helps people backwards and forwards.

At Stroller Strides:

David: Mom, Jack picked up a cigarette.
Jack: Well, I just threw it away.
Angie: Next time lets just leave it because those are very dirty.  Someone you don't know has had that in their mouth.
David:  Its true, isn't it mom, that someone had died from smoking a cigarette?
Adam: Who, Jesus?

Adam's First Catch

The boys love to go fishing. They have been fishing a lot this summer.  This was back in May when Adam made his first catch.
Then David made a video to teach others how to catch fish!

Celebrating Greg

The boys are truly blessed by Greg.  He is a dad that loves them.  He wants to spend time with them.  They hike and fish together.  They play in the backyard together,  He tells them jokes.  He reads them stories.  He tells stories.  They workout together.  And oh how he loves them with tickles and snuggles and lots of laughs.
We wanted to celebrate Greg well.  We went to lunch with his brother and Dad.  And then the boys wanted to have cake!

David made this card for Greg

And Dam made him a new tie!

Ready Rockets Garden

At the beginning of the summer David wanted to visit his Ready Rockets Garden.  We wish we could have watered it this summer, but there is no way for us to get water there.

We found several watermelons beginning to grow, but we know with the hear in June and July that they are gone.

David loved this garden so much!

Bubbles

They still love bubbles.  The simple joys of childhood... the innocence that we never want to fade.

Swim Lessons

So proud of how well they swim.  We are blessed with such an amazing swim teacher.  These boys only had three lessons this summer.  And they feel so comfortable in the water.
Thankful that Gram and Grandad were willing to take the boys and sit in the heat while we were at work!
