During the summer we attended a Stroller Strides class everyday. So to change it up we went to a few different locations to keep the parks fun for the boys.
Adam is so big... he forever was nervous going up this wall.
stretching with friends is the best!
David loves to help with the babies!
Running and talking - that is what mom's do!
And the babies play!
This is what David has known his whole life... the day this was taken was the same day 7 years ago we took our first Stroller Strides class... and he was 7 weeks old. Seven years later and we are still here and so is this car.
This is a favorite author of the boys. He wrote the Piggie and Elephant books that the boys like. We went and saw the play back in the spring. Knuffle Bunny is an all-time favorite of both boys. And we have many of the Pigeon books.
Well, this month Kohl's charity has the books and characters for $5.00 each. 100% of the sale go toward children. So, we got a few for our family and we also got a few for another charity we are involved with. WE pack back packs for children that are taken without warning by CPS. And in the backpack we pack pajamas, a few books, and a stuffie. This is perfect to have the stuffed character to go with the books for these children.
Also, there are classic books with animals like The Pokey Little Puppy, Scuffy the Tugboat, Shy Little Kitten, Twany Scrawny Lion.
If you are in the market for books it is hard to pass up hard back books for $5.00
These two have been living and breathing dude ranch since we came home. From the time they get up they are horses, bulls, long horns, and buffalo. They trade being the animal and the cowboy. So much fun to watch them live out their imaginations.
This morning they rode up to the Chuck Wagon for breakfast. The dish towel is the saddle. The lanyard is reigns.
And here is the chuck wagon lunch the next day.
They made there own chuck wagon to pull out to the porch for lunch.
Last week after Stroller Strides we had a little playdate at the Creamistry. They make and freeze your ice cream right in front of you. It was fun and very delicious! If you have one near you it is worth a trip.
Tomorrow Angie returns to work. The boys are not ready and neither is she. Days together of just enjoying each other without the stress of outside people is very limited when she works. But it also makes our time together that much more special - we appreciate it!
Every morning that Angie has been off they have 30 minutes of school. Each boy has certain work to complete with Angie. Then the day begins. They wake up and have school - most mornings requesting it. Here are some pictures Adam took while Angie was working with David.
These really are the best days!
And after school - it looks like this. This is summer:
