We have a colony of bats, the second largest colony in this region, about 5 minutes from our house. Around 7:30 each evening they all fly out from under a bridge and it looks like black smoke filling the air. We have seen them as we drive past with the boys some evenings, but never stopped for the boys to actually really observe. So last Saturday we decided to take the boys down to see the bats.
After watching the bats we headed to downtown to have ice cream and play games. We have a fun ice cream/ soda shop that has a back porch with fun games set up for families to spend time together.
Greg was proud of how high the Jinga tower was growing - the boys did really well.
But ultimately this was the winner - he moved the last piece without making the tower fall.
We headed home and these brothers helped each other to bed as this summer they are still enjoying sleeping together!
On Friday Angie is still home with the boys for now because the district keeps summer hours and is closed on Friday. So back to Stroller Strides they went and they had another fun morning together.
IT was a morning of cleaning muddy farm animals. Gram let us all use her farm animals and it was a hit!
During the summer we attended a Stroller Strides class everyday. So to change it up we went to a few different locations to keep the parks fun for the boys.
Adam is so big... he forever was nervous going up this wall.
stretching with friends is the best!
David loves to help with the babies!
Running and talking - that is what mom's do!
And the babies play!
This is what David has known his whole life... the day this was taken was the same day 7 years ago we took our first Stroller Strides class... and he was 7 weeks old. Seven years later and we are still here and so is this car.
