Amazed

Today Angie needed to load the stroller in the car. David was awake and Greg was gone. She decided to give David a little snack that had been stored in a Ziploc bag. There were all of about three bites left, but Angie knew this would keep David off of the stairs while she quickly loaded the car.
Upon returning to the kitchen she saw this...

David had finished his snack and crawled over to the trash can. He was trying to throw away the Ziploc bag. His little fingers on his left hand were trying to open the lid and balance his body in the standing position, he has not figured out that we step on a peddle. Angie was amazed that David understood empty containers are discarded in the trash.

David eventually figured out to open the lid wider to get that bag in; we are in awe everyday with the treasures this little boy shows us!

Easter Weekend

We had a very busy weekend celebrating our Risen Savior. Through the craziness of 3 Easter celebrations and a trip to Houston we realize we are so very blessed.
We began on Good Friday with Greg's family. As we arrived at Mimi and Ed's David had an Easter treat waiting...

Saturday morning we had Easter at our house. David had received Easter cards from Mimi and Ed

Then it was time to see what the Easter Bunny left in David's basket

Good Friday, Earth Day, and Eleven Months to Celebate!

Today we celebrate 11 months with David. We are having a very hard time believing that we will have a 1 year old in just 4 short weeks. We love being parents and the time is passing so quickly!
Today for our celebration Angie and David planted some wheat grass seeds. David loves all things outdoors, especially grass and dirt. We used an egg shell as our planter which also represents New Life on this Good Friday. For Earth day Daddy can plant the entire plant and planter in the ground once the seedlings are established.
Here is the finished product - David enjoyed breaking the shell too!

David is always ready to spend time with Daddy. He even helps Daddy with laundry! What a sweet baby boy!

Healthy Eater

David is enjoying the ability to feed himself with finger foods. He LOVES turkey and chicken. He is also enjoying broccoli and carrots. Tonight he had a savory meal of organic baked chicken with sides of organic carrots, green beans and sweet potatoes.

David is generous and shares his dinner with Mommy and Daddy - the catch is that he wants to feed us too!

Rat-A-Tat-Tots

Today was David's last day of music until summer classes begin. He loves to sing, dance, and play the instruments. We are so happy we decided to introduce hm to these classes at 2 months; he truly has an ear for music. He can clap and move to the beat of a song that he hears. When he enters his room to play the first thing he does is crawls over to his CD player, pull himself on, and push the buttons to turn on music.

He is not he only one with a pacifier. Evi and David like to share, but this is one item we don't encourage sharing. David takes his pacifier in class so that not every instrument is in his mouth.

Kiddie Acres with Cousins

This past weekend Angie's sister came to town with her family. We decided to make a trip to Kiddie Acres. Luke and David had lots of fun. Lila, well, she slept the entire time. On the way David decided to chew his toes instead of his pacifier.

He has also started pointing recently... a new trick, maybe?

Luke LOVED riding the real horse. He was sure to tell his Mommy that when he gets his real horse he will name it Thunder, which is the name of the horse he is on in this picture.

Sunday was Bella's 3rd birthday. Luke was excited to be here for Bella's birthday, but he wanted to know when the party was going to start. This was it. Luke found the number three and showed it to Bella while we all sang a round of Happy Birthday to Bella.
