Monday, February 15th we woke up to 10 inches of snow and 7 degree temperatures. We didn't know what the week held... millions without power and water. Damage from broken pipes and grocery stores that had very little in stock. But our family was safe and able to enjoy the week. Greg only really worked one day - we don't ever remember him having an entire week off. It was a week of great memories for our family.
Monday - 8:00am

Winter Magic
Our pond froze, but the fish survived... we broke the ice up every few hours for them...
It felt like spring break at a ski resort!
Snow was a little deep "on the mountain"

We went to bed with 10 degree temperatures...
And woke up to 3 degree temperatures...
Tuesday was cold...
Holly was still in Heaven...

on our way home... its starting to get cloudy...

And David went to pick up Megan to sled at a different hill...
We went to bed with more snow and sleet falling on Tuesday night...
And woke up to more snow and another inch of ice on Wednesday morning...
The entire neighborhood was layered in ice, snow, ice... it was hard to get anywhere, but we still went to the "little hill" to sled.
We met Megan there...
sledding while it snowed... feels like Colorado says this guy.
That afternoon Adam walked Holly with Mateo and Isabella...
It took an hour to get around the block because of the ice... they loved finding sheets of ice to break.
Holly loved it... she just laid down in it.
We made a bubble solution that was supposed to freeze when you blew the bubbles... it was 28 degrees,but they didn't freeze.
Thursday morning we woke back up to 28 degrees, but the High would be almost above freezing. Because it froze again over night the ice was even worse Thursday morning.
Adam started his day writing a story while David worked on multiplication.
We can see some of the street - Greg went to work for a bit.
David loved looking at all of the leaves encased in ice...
And we had one more day of sledding...

Friday morning we woke to freezing temperatures that quickly rose to above freezing for the first time in 7 days!
David turned a giant icicle into a light sabor...
It was so cold he had to hold it with a paper towel...
Good bye snow and ice...
Adam and Angie took a walk and Adam saw this icicle... he thought it had "grown up from the ground." He didn't realize it had detached from the car... he was so intrigued...
