Decorating for Christmas

Decorating for Christmas is a fun family tradition.  The boys love the tree best, this year the only ornament broken was by Angie.

There letters from Santa that they each write in first grade still go up.

They each had an advent calendar and special breakfast cup waiting on December 1st.

 

A Visit with Santa

The boys both wrote letters to Santa this year.  Adam kept his sealed in a brown envelope, not letting it leave his side.  He didn't want us to know what he asked for, then he would know if he got those things, then for sure Santa is real.

David wrote his list and put it in a white envelope.

Angie finally found a sneaky moment where Adam left his list unattended, she steamed up the bathroom, unsealed it, took a picture, then sealed it right back. Here is Adam's list.

House Thanksgiving 2024

We spent the Sunday before Thanksgiving celebrating with Greg's family.  It was great to have all of the cousin's together!

We drove to Houston to celebrate with Angie's family for Thanksgiving.  The cousins always have a good time playing football and Gram usually has some kind of game for the cousins to win money.

 

A Good Fishing Trip

David made another lure out of balsa wood that Grandad gave him.

He caught a great fish...

And...little brothers and their friends make room for big brothers and his fishing gear.

David loves to fish, and he has lots of gear that he takes to the ponds with him.

He is never without lures, polls, reels, and water.

 

Luke and Lila's Birthday

We traveled to Houston to celebrate Lila turning 14 and Luke turning 18!!

We had so much fun even though it was a short visit!

Adam's Thanksgiving Lunch

It was our last Elementary School Thanksgiving Lunch.

Adam's class has the last lunch of the day, so it was not crowded.  In fact, we were asked to move off of the extra tables for families and go sit with his class so that they could clean the cafeteria.

We love our time with this guy, we both took off so that we could be at Adam's last Thanksgiving lunch.

Greg was even able to see Kayla student teaching!

All of the student thankful feathers... we couldn't find Adam's.

So very thankful for this little turkey!

 

Book Character Day

Adam's last book character dress up day was Halloween at school... and he chose a classic favorite book as his theme for dress up.

And David had pajama day on Halloween!
