Evenings

Sometimes after a long day of school, playtime, and work, we have silly time...
The boys were playing and being silly.  So glad this was caught on tape - usually as soon as they see a camera they stop.

 

And Meltdowns...
At David's school festival he had his nails painted.  In the bath that night he was told the polish would have to come off...  we took a picture so we could remember...

 But...

it was unbearable when the time came to really take it off.

Halloween Surprise

Gram and Grandad surprised us with a package yesterday!  After a long day this was a fun ending to our evening.
Adam was upset because David was allowed to use the scissors and he was not...

Library Time with Mimi

Today Mimi took Adam to the Halloween Party at the library during story time.  There was also a group of students their playing music.  Adam loved it.  Mimi said most children were off playing, but Adam stayed and listened to all of the music.  Then he was able to try out the instruments.  What a fun morning!

 

Halloween Fun

We had a busy Wednesday planned... and had to decide what we could realistically do today.
Months ago Angie signed Adam up for a music class and today was the day.  Then on Monday she realized David also has early release at the same time as the class.  So, we had to skip the class for Adam in order to get David on time.
The good news was that the Stroller Strides Halloween Playdate was moved to today because the weather toward the end of the week looks iffy - so Adam wore his costume to Stroller Strides and barked like a puppy all through the park this morning.  We went straight from the park back to pick up David.  It was a busy fun morning!

 

Unexpected Monday

Typically on Monday mornings the boys attend Stroller Strides with Angie.  However, Sunday evening Grandpa Ed became very sick and required surgery during the night.  Greg spent the whole night with his Dad, but had to go to work around 5:30 am.  So, Adam, David and Angie had the opportunity to go visit Grandpa Ed in the hospital.

Ed was sleeping when we walked in.  David was a little nervous, but not Adam.  He walked in yelling, "Ed I see you.  Wake Up!"

The boys loved watching cars from the fourth floor of the hospital window.
 

While Angie talked with Ed and the nurses David kept himself busy writing a note to Ed.  All on his own he wrote, "I Love You Ed.  From David."  Angie wishes she would have snapped a picture of the note.  It was readable and thoughtful and all of David's own imitative.

Grocery Shopping

Saturday is grocery shopping day in our family.  The boys almost always go because they usually enjoy helping.  This week Adam was napping.  It was cold and rainy and David wanted to shop independently since he did not have to ride in a cart with the absence of Adam.
When David was 2 he received a grocery cart for a birthday present from Gram and Grandad.  And he has been wanting to take it to HEB for about 3 years - so finally Saturday was the day!

He did great until about half way through the store and then it was not as novel as it was at the beginning... but he finished - and checked out - and says he will take it again next week.  We'll shall see about that.

29 Months

Today Adam turns 2 years and 5 months old.  He is still so much fun to be around.  He is a happy boy.
He continues to be a great napper and sleeps through the night 5 to 6 times a week - so great!
His articulation and vocabulary has really started to become refined.  He is a talker just like his brother.  He too enjoys asking questions of others such as where they live or what there name is.  He is not quite as outgoing as David, but he is certainly not quiet!
Books are still a favorite and he also has a love of running just like David and Daddy.  Animals also continue to be a love of Adam's.  He enjoys being outside, playing soccer and his favorite foods continue to be eggs and chicken.
This morning we went to Stroller Strides at the mall because of the rain.  Adam chose to ride the train after class for a bit of 2 year old fun!

And rocking him to sleep last night - it never gets old.

And yes he does not want pajamas anymore... he has strong opinions too.
