Gram and Grandad

 Gram and Grandad came to visit.  They brought the boys Halloween Treats....

Treated us at the Baked Bear - A very favorite of Adam's.

And the boys showed off their Halloween costumes.

There is never enough time with family.

Sweet Eats Farm

 We made a fun weekend tradition come true again when we visited Sweet Eats Farm.  This year Gram and Granddad came with us!

Gram climbed Tire Mountain.

Adam loved all of the climbing and the messiness of being outside.

There was lots of jumping fun.

David did great with using one arm...

There were some rolling races...

Duck races are still the favorite...

There was a fun maze that the boys times themselves going through... who was faster - they ended up in a tie.

Gram strolled through the maze...

And Grandad was the winner.

We ended the day at the apple cannons - a favorite.

School Pride

 The boys received their new school shirts for the year on the same day.  They looked to handsome not to take time for a quick picture before school.

Dragon Tales

In our school district the high school football players visit the third grade classrooms and read.  Each football player brings their favorite children's book and reads to the class.  This is to promote reading in a fun way, share favorite characters, and move third graders to reading on grade level benchmark levels by the end of the year.

 

It is such a big deal because third graders think that these football players are celebrities. It is a fun tradition.  With Covid this is the first time that the players have been allowed back in elementary schools since David was in third grade.  The elementary students were still not allowed back to the football field like they have been previously to run the field with the players at a game, but it was still a pretty great game.
