Harvey Came to Visit

David had his best friend come to visit and we had to opportunities to see him.  David misses Harvey terribly and it was so sweet to see them both together again.
On Sunday we met him with his family at the Play for All Abilities Park...

 Monday after school he and his family met us on the playground at David's school.
Harvey's birthday was the week before so David chose matching shirts for Harvey's gift.

 Harvey's mom is also David's kindergarten teacher... so there were lots of children that stayed after school to see her... all of these children were in David's kinder class.

Spring Break 2019

We stayed in Austin for the entire break this year... we have never done this before and honestly it was such a great week.  We didn't feel rushed, we enjoyed just being home and together,  and we all needed down time.
 Our spring weather started the Wednesday before Spring Break... so after school David got off the bus with his friend Megan and we went hiking before anyone even did homework.

 

 Then by Thursday morning we had another freeze and Friday morning David, Angie, and Adam were not feeling great.
Angie sent the boys to school because she had to go to work.  Angie ran that morning with her friend who also teaches fourth grade at David's school.  She sent Angie a  picture of him midmorning to let Angie know he was doing ok.
But by the afternoon both boys' school had called.  Thankfully Mimi came to the rescue and picked up our little guys.

 

 We rested all weekend other than soccer games.  The boys also were watching a guinea pig of friends down the street - we had Chuy from Friday night until Wednesday night.  The boys loved it, but Angie was the one that did the heavy lifting around this pet.

 Saturday night Angie and Greg went to dinner to celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary.  One of Greg's patients actually paid for their meal... so generous.

And by Monday we had beautiful weather and happy boys once again.  Monday was perfect because the boys and Angie just hung out at home.

 

 Tuesday the boys and Angie headed to Johnson City with friends to The Science Mill... we had a picnic lunch at the courthouse lawn first.

 Wednesday both boys invited a friend over to play.  This was harder than Angie expected.  But overall it went well... it was just a lot of boy!

 Thursday Angie was happy to have more time with just herself and the boys.  They started their day at a park playing tennis and playing on the playground the boys would attend as babies at Stroller Strides.  The boys actually requested going to this park.

 Adam was giving David lessons... :)

 

 Thursday afternoon Gram and Grandad came for a quick visit and brought the boys a little fun Easter treat!

 The boys slept in the playroom that night...

 We started Friday morning at Stroller Strides... these two sat side by side just like old times!

 We came right home because Greg took the afternoon off for a family afternoon.  The boys read together while waiting on Greg.

 We took the boys to Blue Hole in Georgetown thinking that they would wade in the water...

 Saturday the boys and Greg worked out in the yard and David asked to mow the lawn for the first time ever...

 Spring Break ended Saturday night with a backyard campout...

 Adam was so excited about the tent...

 And David was excited about S'mores...

Such a great week - wish we had another week to do it again!
