Camping

Last year David and Greg tried camping in the backyard.  David lasted about 5 minutes once he actually realized he would be sleeping outside. 

 

Friday night David decided he wanted to try it again.  He was so excited collecting all of his "sleeping toys."  He was ready to camp!  He made it from 8:30 until 10:15.  He came in and said, "I need to be a little bigger."  Our sweet boy!

Super Hero

At vacation Bible school we had super heroes visit a couple of days because we learned that God is our hero.  And so to make it a little more relevant for the littles Superman showed up.  Since then David has been running around pretending to be Superman.  Yes, he has had three or four different Superman shirts in his short life, but he had never seen Superman and so they meant nothing. With his new love of Superman Angie bought David a new Superman shirt with a cape, all the others no longer fit, and he has worn it everyday since Sunday.  I am sure you have noticed in the posts this week David is wearing the same thing everyday.  And so Mommy washes every night.

 We also made some Superman sand art this week.  We have a home filled with a love of Super Heroes.

More Family

 We had Greg's cousins in town this week.  Angie forgot about pictures until we were leaving.  Stacy's face tells the story of the chaos of two little boys.  We do love visiting with the Hammons and are so glad they popped in on their way to College Station.

Sleeping Angel

Yesterday Adam had a rough day.  David was a delight and very helpful.  He even put himself down for his own nap without Angie saying anything.  Some days he is truly an Angel!

Precious Gems

Their sweet hugs, warm cuddles, and wet kisses are my greatest treasures!  These are my precious gems!

 

One Month

Today marks one month with Adam.  He has our hearts for sure.  It has been a month of loving, learning, and just being thankful for two beautiful boys!

37 Months

David is 3 years one month old today.  He is a loving Big Brother.  He kisses and hugs Adam all day long.  He always lets us know when he hears Adam getting fussy.  He is learning patience not being an only child.  He is still incredibly funny and sweet.  David makes our world. 
David and Angie have not had a lot of time together lately, but yesterday Adam napped for a little while and David took some silly shots of himself with Mommy.  Happy 37 months to our David!

Four Weeks Fast

We cannot believe that 4 weeks ago this morning we were awaiting the arrival of our sweet Adam.  He is growing quickly, as of Wednesday he was weighing in at 10 pounds 8ounces. He is out of newborn clothes and diapers. He still loves to cuddle; his favorite place is in someone's arms.

It is fun that Adam can wear David's clothes at the same time David was wearing them... each outfit now has memories with boy boys.  Loving these sweet faces!

Thoughts of a Three Year Old

David everyday still amazes us with the thinking he does.  Here are a couple of conversations from the past week.

David's VBS teacher told Angie that David shared this after studying the Story of Adam and Eve -
"I have an Adam at my house, but not a grownup Adam, An itty bitty Baby Adam."

While driving in the car on the way home very close to David's nap time he spots a McDonald's. 
He visits McDonald's with Greg's dad sometimes.
David - "I want McDonalds."
Greg: - "What do you want from McDonald's?"
David: - "McDonalds"
Angie: "But what do you want to eat, chicken nuggets, a Big Mac?"
David: "A Big Mac"
Angie: "What is a Big Mac"
David: "A big truck that carries Lightning"

We did not go to McDonald's but David has not forgotten.  He thinks he can now order a Big Mac and get a toy truck from Cars

Mornings with Mommy

This has been the first week Angie has been home with both boys by herself.  She is working hard at giving both boys quality time, but it is harder than one would think.  Here are some snap shots of their mornings together this week.
