Pandemic Week 10 - First Week of Summer

Angie was still working so this was a quiet week even though the boys were finished with school.
Monday Greg worked even though it was Memorial Day.
Tuesday we had a drive by baby shower for David's teacher.  She is having her first baby.  The class got together and threw her a shower by driving by and dropping off gifts.  One mom had cupcakes for everyone as they dropped off the gifts..  Angie forgot to take pictures, but this is the card David made for her.

Adam brought Pikachu with us on the trip.

Megan was with us too.  And when we got home she stayed and played until dinner time.  At one point during the day they were screaming from upstairs that the toilet was smoking.  Angie yelled back it wasn't possible.  Then they yelled it is from the new water heater, which we had to replace the previous week. Angie said there is no hot water to a toilet.

Then they just said, "well something is wrong then because this toilet is smoking."

Angie ran up and found this...

Wednesday Adam requested space cakes for breakfast... this is what Angie could come up with.  Blue pancakes.

Guess he was planning for the shuttle launch.

Thursday the boys and Angie walked to Mimi and Ed's.  Grandpa Ed has been wanting fried pies.  He made the pie filling while they were there.  They also played Monopoly Jr. with Mimi.

That evening Angie tried to make fried pies... we are still working on the recipe. 

Friday morning, Angie was in line at HEB early before they opened.  She did this Thursday and Sunday too.  But she was able to get sanitizer for the first time since March!

Friday we set up for a garage sale Saturday morning.  It was so much work.  But felt so good to get all of this out of our house!

These two were creating disguises so they could skate around the neighborhood without being recognized.

This one wanted to join so badly.

It was a quiet week.  Let's hope week 2 of summer is more eventful!

Birthday Celebrations Age 10 and 7

David went to bed as a nine year old on Thursday...

A little Celebration on his door while he slept...

And on Friday woke up as a ten year old! He had Chick-Fil-A for breakfast!

We tried to make it feel like party day!

Always a character... he wanted cake for breakfast.

David had vfriends surprise him with lunch from Chick-Fil-A.  They found a toad while they played in the backyard.  Look at our boys - so happy and cute.

These friends are twins in David's class... and they both have red hair.

Presents were dropped off a little along the way by friends during the day.  Once Greg was home from work Mimi and Ed came over and David opened his gifts.

Luke and Lila Facetimed to wish a happy birthday.  Gram and Grandad called and talked to David too.

New headlamps and lanterns from Mimi and Ed.

Mama and Daddy surprised the boys with a joint gift - a pool!

David was so happy about this... he is getting a "room redo" with a hunting theme.

Time to fill up the pool!

While we wait for dinner - they swim.

David's dinner choice was Mighty Fine Burgers

Cake Time!

He went to sleep a 10 year old with his new bedding.

Saturday was a day of swimming!

And Kona Ice!  Both boys were surprised when Kona Ice pulled up to our house and had an order ready for them!  Adam was dancing in the driveway he was so happy.

The boys had lunch and snowcones by the pool.

Gram and Grandad also sent a surprise... not even for their birthday.  One item was flying poop.

It is still stuck to our ceiling...

Adam fell asleep Saturday night for the last time as a six year old.

A little Pokemon Birthday decoration went up during the night...

And Adam woke up as a 7 year old!  Round Rock donuts for breakfast.  Chick-Fil-A is closed on Sunday.

Tried to make it look like party day.

The wind would not cooperate... it kept turning our 7 bakward...

As good as it gets...

Adam had his gifts early in the day because Greg wasn't at work...

And then he chose Rudy's for lunch.  Just as we finished lunch there was a surprise outside with lots of noise... it was a birthday parade!

Many friends dropped off gifts...

And made sweet signs - this is just a few!

After the parade it was time for cake!

And then swimming...

and playing with new toys.  David built this robot his friend Reese gave him.

We went to Mimi and Ed's for a family birthday celebration.

Adam chose the meal of dinosaur chicken nuggets and broccoli.

She made Adam a chocolate cake...

And David a sour cream cake...

Adam fell asleep a 7 year old on his new "Pokemon Bed Covers."  That's what he calls them.

Oh David and Adam - the greatest gifts we have are the two of you!
