Adam’s Favorite Author!

Adam has a favorite author, Rick Riorden.  We got him tickets to listen to him speak about his favorite series Percy Jackson, a book series that hasn't had a book added to this series in over a decade.  He was so excited, he received a t-shirt, 2 signed copies of the book, and a question answer session with Rick.

Greg took him because Angie had class.

While they waited for the session to begin Greg asked Adam what he might want for dinner.  Adam said he wanted something salty.  So, Greg found a restaurant called the SALY SOW.

Adam had the best night, and we are so glad that he was able to enjoy a night, just he and Greg, doing what he loves.

 

Adam Runs for Student Council

Adam had a good run and won his class representative election for student council.  He enjoys his role and is already planning his reelection campaign for fifth grade.

Apex Fun Run

Adam had the best time running the fundraising obstacle course at school.  It was a hot morning, but he never stopped.  Great job running and running Adam!

Old Town Grandparents Lunch

 Mimi and Ed had Grandparents Lunch with Adam.  Finally families are back in the cafeteria post Covid.  Adam was so excited about this and talked about it for days.  Thanks Mimi and Ed for spending lunch with Adam.

One Last Junior Olympic Celebration

 

David's head track coach presented everyone that went to Junior Olympics with a plaque at practice Thursday night.  Congratulations David!

Walsh Cross Country

 

Wednesday was David's first school cross country meet. Out of 10 or 11 middle schools, boys in 7th and 8th grade, David came in 6th place.  We are really proud of how hard he works!

A Trip to the Beach

Adam didn't really get a true vacation this summer.  He really wanted to go to Key West.  But we decided Galveston for a day was more of what we could handle.  For Labor Day weekend we made a quick trip to stay with Angie's parents and were lucky enough that Cousins Luke and Lila, Aunt Christie, Uncle Brian, Gram and Grandad were all willing to join us for a last of summer beach day.

Greg and Brian both had their cast nets and caught quite a few fish all day long.

The boys worked all day, mostly David, on this put to house fish once the were caught.

Adam enjoyed building sandcastles...

Adam's favorite thing at the beach is the ice cream truck and Gram made his wishes come true...

We celebrated Grandad's birthday a week early.

David has a fish or two in his pond...

Adam was proud that he caught this fish just swimming in the ocean... 

It was such a fun day of beach memories and the perfect way to end our summer.
