A Day at UT

We spent a Saturday at UT exploring just a bit... Adam loved running all over campus.

Cousin Brooke has classes in this building...

Angie could have classes here...

It was fun learning the lay of the campus together. 

Adam's Field Trip - Inner Space Caverns

Greg attended Adam's field trip with him this year to Inner Space Caverns.

Angie had wanted to attend, Greg has gone on all of Adam's field trips.

But, Adam chose Greg over Angie and they had a great day.

After the field trip Greg took Adam to get Ice Cream at his favorite spot...

And then they went to our new city library...

Such a fun day!

Adam's Winn Dixie Reading Celebration

Adam's class read Because of Winn Dixie and did a character study across the book.  They also write literary essay's about the characters.

To celebrate their learning and hard work the teacher had a celebration of al of the food that Opal ate in the book.  Then they watched the movie and compared it to the book.

Compare and contrast is becoming more and more important to support critical thinking and these third graders did well.

 

A Visit to Houston

We made a fun fast trip to Houston to see Gram and Grandad, Luke, Lila, Uncle Brian and Aunt Christie.  WE had a delicious dinner and lots of play time.

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!

Adam got chocolate and a Squish mellow

David got a box of chocolate, his favorite, and a Chipotle gift card.

Angie got them their favorite kolaches for breakfast Adam was disappointed she didn't make the heart red pancakes, the tradition was broken. 

Angie got to attend Adam's Valentine Party - so much fun!

A Night at Kalahari

For Christmas Mimi and Ed gave us a night at Kalahari.  We spent lots of time on the fun water slides, wave pool and lazy river at the water park and at the Tom Foolery Amusement park playing video games.

We had a great 24 hours "away" of family time.
