A Weekend of Friends

Friday as Angie picked up the boys from their classes Adam's teacher stopped her and asked her to look at Adam's New Years Goal...

Adam decided since he didn't know how to play an instrument that he would learn to play the triangle this year... Luke can play the french horn, Lila can play the piano, David can "play" the guitar and now Adam will learn the triangle.

When we got home David had a few friends over until dark...

And Adam had friends over until dinner time...

Saturday Adam had a different friend over the entire afternoon to play and the mom dropped off lunch!

Saturday David hosted his first "party."  He had a few friends over for pizza, games, s'mores and tried a movie, but no one really watched.

As everyone was leaving Adam took this picture of himself - it was a really fun weekend and it was only Saturday.

LOVE These Two

They chose their own shirts this year... I was surprised David wanted one.  Last year he had just plain red.  But he saw this at the Gap and knew it was for him.  Adam chose his from JCrew.  He really wanted one that said Heart Breaker.  We found so many with graphics, but he wanted just words and not in cursive.  So, here are our two little Valentines!

 

48 Hours of Snow

 On Sunday, January 10th we woke up to snow. The snow started early Sunday morning and came down all day long.  It finally stopped snowing about 5:00.  Adam woke up and made a snowflake out of paper to tape to his window.  Then he went to his room and watched the snow fall on top of the roofs while singing.

Angie made a big breakfast and then for the next 2 days we played in and out of the snow.  We built snowmen, went sledding, played with friends, had snowball fights,,, eventually the boys used ice cream scoops to make the snowballs so they didn't have to get cold and wet hands, and made snow cream.

The laundry never stopped as we needed dry clothes every couple of hours.

On Sunday evening we heard that Monday would be a snow day.  So the boys and Angie enjoyed the snow again, sledding, snowball fights, taking walks, and David even rode his motorcycle through the snow covered field.

It was a magical time.  The video and pictures are in no particular order.  If the pictures are grey it means they were taken on Sunday.  If it is sunny they are from Monday.

This is a day that will forever be one for the memory book.
