A Night Out

 It’s been a long time since our family had a dinner outside of our own kitchen. We had a family dinner at one of Angie’s Favorite spots, Mama Betty’s, last night. It was delicious and full of a fun family night out.

First Day of School - Fourth and Seventh Grades

The boys were to bed by 8:30 and asleep by 9:00...

Adam was awake first with his favorite breakfast of homemade chocolate chip pancakes...

David woke up and Angie had warm blueberry muffins for him ready to go...

It was time for pictures... David got up extra early so that he could be helpful for Angie's schedule... he was extra tired too...

We hope this year brings friendships, joy, and fun days...

David went with Angie to take Adam to school...

Welcome Walk and Supply Drop

Thursday Adam had Welcome Walk where his new teacher come to his house... this year we were not positive who would be coming.  Here is the note he wrote to her...

And it was Ms. Byars!  This is a teacher Angie thought would be the best fit... but this year Adam doesn't have his besties with him.

 Monday morning, after David's schedule walk, Adam had Meet the Teacher/ Supply Drop Off...

He went back to see Ms. Oakman... he loved her so much last year.

He stopped in to meet Ms. Garcia - he ELA teacher for 4th grade.

Here he is in her classroom...

And then to Ms. Byars classroom, this is his homeroom and math/science teacher.

It was a good way to settle back into a school year.

Tomorrow is the first day of school.

Walsh Schedule Pick Up

Our big seventh grader this morning at schedule pick up and walk.  This is an event that students do on their own.  David navigated all of the schedule pick up and walk by himself.  He saw friends and old teachers... such a big kid.

 

Happy Birthday to Ed

 We celebrated 79 years of Granpda Ed Yesterday.  All of the Grandkids were over for dinner - the little cousins may have enjoyed it more that Grandpa Ed.

Last Bits of Summer

The boys have spent so many afternoons playing together upstairs.  During the school year they don't really have time to do much together.  Summer always gives simple time to just be brothers.

Late nights just doing what they love - in this case David is looking for quarters to add to his collection.

Errands with mom...

David was an Instant Winner this time with Buddy Bucks, but gave it to Adam for the prize.

Snow cones on a hot afternoon was a request of Adam...

Adam moved to fourth grade at church on Pop Up Sunday.

The boys love the Pizza Buffett at Double Dave's so we celebrated our last week of summer with a fun lunch.

They got back to school haircuts and stopped by one of Greg's favorite spots in Austin.
