Childhood

Neighborhood friends.
Long afternoons outside.
Climbing, building, running, riding... the stuff childhood should be made of.

And once it is too dark outside to play you come in for pizza and Gatorade in a Champagne Flute.

Running and Climbing

Last weekend we had a fun family weekend.
Saturday we went into Austin to pick up Angie's race packet.  Holly went with us because we had just come from her second vet appointment.

The boys found Angie's name listed on the wall of runners.

After a birthday party and yard work that afternoon we went to dinner in downtown Round Rock.

Angie was up early the next morning to met her friends for the race.

And in the middle of mile 13 our sweet David joined Angie in the race!  But he really thought we were going too slow.

Finished!  This really is a fun race!

Greg was headed to work that afternoon.  So, Angie took the boys back to Fortlandia one more time as it will close this week.  We met friends and spent the rest of the afternoon outside!  It was cold, but beautiful.

Family time is the best time!

Weekend Fun

We look so forward to weekends together.  But this was a fast one.
Both boys had playdates after school Friday.
On Saturday Greg and the boys started work on their Pine Wood Derby Cars.  Angie ran 10 miles and did laundry while they worked hard on cars.
Saturday afternoon we attended a birthday party.

Sunday we went to church, the boys had cub scouts and Angie had weekly grocery shopping.
We celebrated our weekend with dinner out - and Holly joined us.
We finished the evening in front of the fire with books.
 We love weekends!

Williamson County Museum

Today the boys went with cub scouts to the Williamson County Museum.  Greg has actually taken the boys before on a Saturday when Angie had to work.
This is along the banks of Brushy Creek.  The Chisholm Trail ran along here and the museum workers recreate what it was like so long ago explaining what life was like.
The boys had enjoyed this both times they have heard the history of our little city.
