Daddy Days

Before Adam was born Angie and David had two days a week together and we referred to them as Mama David days.  Now we have Mama, David, Adam days... just not as easy to say.
Well, beginning three weeks ago Greg changed his schedule so that he is home with the boys one day a week and we refer to these as Daddy days.  This week Greg had the opportunity to join David at school for music.  Here are the pictures his teacher sent.  They are studying health and the day Greg was there the focus was on doctors.

As Big As We Love

Often you will hear Angie refer to David or Adam as My Love, or Love Bug, or Sweet Love.  These two are as big as we love.  There is really nothing we love more than these two boys.

This season as a young family of 4 is just marvelous.

Childcare

We continue to be blessed by Greg's mom and dad.  They take our boys three days a week.  They go on adventures to the park, library, playground, and at least once a week an extra special outing is planned.  We are thankful for the time that they give to our boys.
Mimi always has something fun for David to occupy him on his non school day that he is with them.  Last Friday David came home with many creations.  Here he is making one and using pattern blocks for the first time!

Hats

Gram and Grandad visited this weekend.  Angie and David were both very excited they were coming.
While they were here Angie took some pictures of these three and the hats she loves.  Anytime Angie sees a hat in this style she thinks of her dad and now her boys!

Here is a picture of Adam Jr., David and Adam's  great great grandfather from their Grandad's side of the family.  Our Adam is partly named after him (and his Dad Adam Sr.)  and he wore the same style of hat.  This picture was taken in 1916.  Angie sees some of her dad in this picture.

Gram was here too this weekend and was a big help with the boys.  She did not sit still all weekend - cleaning, doing laundry, and playing with our boys.  We were spoiled with meals, no cleaning, and a couple of hours to run errands without children.

9 Months

How can it be that this sweet baby boy is 9 months. old. 
Adam you have 4 teeth.  You still do not sleep through the night, but you are getting a little better at sleeping for longer stretches.  You are on a schedule now like David at this age... up at 6:30, down for a nap at 10:00, up at 12:00, down for a second nap at 2:00, and down for the night at 6:30.  Unlike your brother you do not like to eat pureed food.  You LOVE avocado and eat it usually 2 times a day.  You eat a little sweet potato, and just started being interested in bread this week.  Adam you still drink milk about every two hours or so and in between you enjoy cold water.  You are crawling everywhere now and follow your Mommy around the house whining if she does not pick you up and take you with her to a different room.  David makes you very happy and attention from him his golden.  You are still a happy baby and you give us smiles all day long.  We are so blessed to have you as our son.
Angie has been distraught for a month when she realized that the pair of pajamas David wore for his nine month picture she cannot find.  The crazy thing is that David had two pair of these pajamas and Angie cannot find even one for Adam. The guess is that they has holes in the toes and were thrown out... :(.   And so month nine will not have a side by side... but here he is with his huge smile - our Adam!

 

Sunday Night Dinner

Almost every week we are invited to Greg's family for Sunday night dinner His mom makes a delicious meal and we gather for an eventful time of fellowship.  With our two boys being the youngest we bring much of the chaos.
This past week we had more of a hands on dinner.  We made our own pizza's and David loved helping spread the cheese on top of each pizza pie.

45 Months

Today our sweet David is three years and nine months old.  He continues to be social and is a little charmer to most. 
He loves broccoli and chicken.  He starts his day almost everyday with chocolate milk. 
He enjoys school, has many friends, and his Mama's heart!  David we are so proud of you!
Here are some moments from his soccer game today. He took a hard fall in the middle of the game and had to come out for just a bit.  He was a trooper and went back in finishing the game with his friends!

Teeth Week

This week at school David has been studying oral hygiene. 

 
Angie did not know that this was the study of the week.  But between David's Tuesday / Thursday dental study, Wednesday he actually went to the dentist.  This was his sixth trip in his three and a half years, and again he did great.  When he walked in he made himself comfortable playing.  When his name was called he told the hygienist - "I love to have my teeth brushed!"  He does not really by the way, but he seems to know what to say to win people over.  Of course they thought he was almost as cute as we do.

Is seems Adam wanted in on this teeth action as well.  Wednesday morning he had his top two teeth break through.  He has been a trooper and just like David has not really been all that fussy with teething!  He did not even have drooling with these two like he did with the bottom two.

 



Adam has his first dental appointment scheduled for May 28th... 4 days after he turns 1.  David will go with him since he will turn 4, 6 days before.  How is it possible these boys are growing so fast?

Pirates and Princesses

Saturday David attended his friend Ella's 4th birthday party.  It was a pirate and princess theme so we dressed the part.

 

 Adam went too, but his pirate attire was 0-3 months and Mommy did not purchase anything for this party for Adam... poor second child.
