Developing Stories

Yesterday Angie was home with the boys.  A day she looks forward to every week.  While doing the most basic of tasks, changing a diaper of Adam's, he started something new.  He grabbed a diaper and started playing peek a boo.  Now of course Angie had nothing with her to record his first try at this game.  There was lots of laughing as it went on and on and she was enjoying the moment, but a little saddened not to have caught it on camera.  So the next diaper change he did it again, not with as much enthusiasm, but enough to capture it on film.

Just for reference David's first game he initiated on his own was also peek a boo.  He did this on March 13, 2010... Adam is a little ahead of David when it comes to playing...

Yesterday, Adam also wanted to play with his jingle sticks.  This was a favorite of David's around this age too.  Adam could see them on his chair and tried to reach up to grab them when he noticed if he rocked the chair he could make them ring.  It is so fun to watch as children discover and find joy and pride in their play!

Beginning today Greg will be home with our boys on Tuesday's while Angie works.  This is a blessing.  They will have father son time, Greg will see them much more than our previous schedule, and Greg's parents will now only have the boys on Thursday and Friday each week.  And because today was another delayed start for Angie we all were home together for a while this morning!!
After picking David up from preschool today Greg took him to the local toy store to look for a little treat.  While walking down the isle Greg heard David say, "What will catch my eye?"  Where does he come up with these things?  He ended up with a US Air Force Fighter Jet and Adam ended up with another shaker.

So blessed to have jobs that help us spend time with our boys each week!
