Winter Days

In the hustle and bustle of the Christmas Season Angie tried to make sure Adam was still getting her attention the one day they are home together each week.
And on this day they spent the whole afternoon outside.
These days will be gone too quickly!

School Days

We are proud of how hard our boys work when they are at school and at home.

David was to build a ramp that shows the three types of motion using recycled materials as an enrichment activity at home... he loved doing this and was so excited to show us.

 

 Adam was helping his teachers during story telling and shared writing at school...

 David worked extra hard at home and at school going to an extra small group with his teacher.  When it was time for the unit assessment he said he felt ready.  The day of the test Angie got a text from his teacher with the super proud little boys.  He only missed one question.  He was proud of is grade and we were proud of his determination and perseverance when he came across something for the first time that was hard at school.

2 weeks before Christmas Angie and the boys took a very short trip, like all of three hours, to go see her extended family.  The boys were troopers and had a great time.  And Angie was able to see family she hasn't seen in years including her great Aunt Charlotte.

Christmas Eve 2018

 

We baked cookies for Santa today.  As the boys cut cookies they also ate dough.

 We all decorated them together... very creative decorators in our family.

 And the boys put out Santa's cookies right away - it was only 1:00pm.

 We got ready to head to church...

 These three smiles are the best!

 Mimi and Ed came with us too!  It is fun to make memories with grandparents.

 At church the boys waited for Baby Jesus.

 Adam got his own candle this year.  We didn't burn anything or drop wax on anyone.

 The children were up on stage singing... I labeled Adam with a green "A" and David with a green "D".

 

 

 After the service - which was a really great service... we stopped for one last photo opportunity.

 And the boys became distracted...

Santa!

 We came straight home and got Santa's milk

 to put next to his cookies.  Adam made a placemat for Santa about 2 weeks ago and has been waiting to use it for these cookies.  Can you see how we wrote - "For Santa."

 The boys had a big discussion of how many carrots to put out.

Sights and Sounds of Christmas

Our home in this season is filled with some of the most priceless pieces of art. 
It is filled with joy from our Elf.
And traditions that started in Angie and Greg's childhood.
The trains are also something the boys love to see each Christmas season.
And we made a quick stop to Mozart's for the light display.

 

 

 

 

 

 Adam added to our art collection this year...

 David added more animals to the nativity...

 Mimi gifted the boys each a nutcracker

 Adam made an advent calendar at school, just like David did in Ready Rockets, and he wakes up every morning and adds the sticker.

 He decided to make a pattern with his stars...

 David loves the Elf and wakes Adam up early every morning to go look for Elfie.

 

The trains were a hit again - especially for David.

 We love time together in our little city!

We went to Lake Austin to Mozart's to watch the light display.  It was very crowded... we need to go earlier in the season as in years past.

 

 

 We are not ready for this season to be over.

And, today on Christmas Eve, we woke up to the sweetest little preschool voice.  So, of course Angie jumped out of bed and had him sing again to always have the memory.
