Treats From Gram and Grandad

 Gram and Grandad treat the boys with grift cards to their favorite spots... Chick-Fil-A, which we got for breakfast one morning...

And Starbucks... which we also got one morning before school.  We did not know what the morning crowd would be like so these two were up and ready to go by 6:00am to assure that they would have time to go before school.

Palm Sunday

 Angie forgot about these pictures of Palm Sunday.  Adam's class acted out what it might have been like in Jersulum on Palm Sunday.  You will see Adam in a couple of pictures, in the front, in an orange shirt.

Adam's Second Grade Music Performance

Adam had his first eve music performance last Tuesday at school.  He was so giddy.  He has been singing and practicing at home for a few weeks.  He even told us he had a solo, which what he meant was he sang a little different part when the music split.  He was so proud and could not wait to be up on the stage.  

His music teacher told the classes that they could not wear t-shirts or shorts - they needed concert attire - so he chose his suit.

A Few Adam Highlights

 Adam is full of fun moments that he loves to share with us!

Dressing up as a dragon... Adam loves dragons... something that David never had an interest in.

It is fun to watch Adam walk with his friends after school... this day they were carrying their 3D shape cities.

Here he is at Kona Ice day after school last Friday, David was there too, but he was too bust with friends for a picture.

At swim practice there is a motorcycle parked up front each day after practice -Adam wanted his picture taken with it - his friend Lea joined in too!

There were pony rides and a petting zoo in the park on Saturday in our neighborhood.  David was too big to ride, but Adam wanted a turn.

Adam leveled up again at KidStrong on Thursday!

Adam has been learning cursive at school and knows enough now that he can write a sentence - this is what he chose.  He told us he wrote it for David because David doesn't like cats.

David said, "but I would not hurt one."

Lunch with Adam

After 2 years parents are finally allowed to have lunch with their children at school.  Greg and I both have taken off to have lunch with Adam.  Greg also took off to have lunch with David.

These moments are so much more precious now!

 

David is Art Famous

I did not know that there was an art Instagram account for the boys school - because I am not really on Instagram.  But several friends sent me this picture letting me know that David was famous for the pillow he created in art!  He worked on this for about a month and is so proud!

 

Easter Sunday

Easter began early - The Easter bunny was up at 4:00 hiding eggs...

And the boys were up at 6:00 ready to see if the bunny had come. 

The boys were so fast with their egg hunt this year, along with it still begin rather dark outside... all of the pictures are blurry!

Greg found a real egg on the egg hunt - the boys are sure it is a snake egg... hoping it is a bird egg.  Because it has hatched.

After we got dressed for church, it was time for Secret Bunny.  About 3 weeks ago Adam put all of our names in a hat.  At dinner we drew names for our secret bunny.  We each had to make things for the name we drew.

Adam drew Daddy.  He made Daddy a picture and found some Mad Libs to do together.

Mama made Adam some Bunny Ears and put a little coupon in for a lunch with mom at school.

Daddy made David a Cheerio David, because David is Cheery.   

David drew Mama's name... and made her gift later.

Then it was 7:45 and time for pictures before leaving fur church.

We love these boys!

We made it to church, on time!

Mimi and Ed came with us!

Thankful that the stone was rolled away and that the tomb was empty, these boys were in class together for Easter.

After a rest at home we went to Mimi's for lunch.

After lunch it was time for an egg hunt...

So so good to see these three smiles...

It was such a good Easter weekend - so thankful for the Hope of Heaven.
