Decorating our Christmas Tree

Both boys were really into decorating the tree this year.  They have also contributed many paper ornaments to the tree through the week.  Wednesday mooring they woke up before school and played Santa Claus.  There were presents ready for Mama and Daddy under the tree.  This season is so much fun with young children!

 Well... our start didn't light up this year.

 So, this sweet boys chose a new one for our family.

 We added it the next night.

A Visit with Santa

While Angie had both boys at home last week they decided to visit Santa.  Stroller Strides was at the mall and right after they met Santa.  The boys have always enjoyed visiting with Santa and this year he took lots of time to talk with the boys.
Santa told Adam that he has an elf named Adam.  And that Adam the elf eats all of Santa's snicker doodle cookies.
David asked how the reindeer were doing.  And Santa told David that they had been naughty.  Santa said they had been sticking out their tongues through the skylights in the mall.
The boys each read Santa their list and Santa kept them so he could remember.
David said his top gift that he wanted was a mouse.  Adam's top gift is a rhino remote control car.  When Santa asked Adam where he had seen one Adam responses, " I haven't.  But your elves can make it."
The boys sat for a long time and created their lists for Santa...

A Christmas Tradition

Well is certainly doesn't fell like 16 years, but this was truly our 16th year to cut down our own Christmas tree.  We have gotten faster at finding our tree - we know what to look for now.  The boys love this so much and never want to leave the farm.

 Adam saw this tall skinny tree and really tried to convince us that this was our tree!

 Then Adam found this branch and thought it too would be the perfect tree.  Thankful he got tired of carrying that very quickly.

 We also made our yearly stop at Ghost Town.  The boys were so excited to go to Ghost Two at night.

 

 Another fun tradition that we hope the boys will always remember fondly!
