Brothers

 David was so impressed by the giant strawberries we found at HEB... and they were just as delicious as they looked.

The boys wanted to bake so we made carrot cupcakes... chocolate cake with orange Reese's Pieces in the middle and green icing.  Adam would not even try a bite... he was in it for the raw batter.

Poor Holly is banned from the kitchen... watching the family eat at the table... in the most uncomfortable way.

The boys have made their own shields, weapons and divided the yard into territories. Battles break out each afternoon after school.

Adam still loves a good hooded towel and play time after his bath...

And surprise mail is always fun for these two.  Thank you Gram and Grandad for the "I Owe You" lessons.

Adam brought playing cards to school - he forgot they were in his pocket.  Thankfully his teacher is so patient and let the class play with them at recess.

Fun on the Farm

We went out to a friends house to celebrate Grey turning 6.  There was the Tiny Tales petting zoo to keep our boys happy.  We used this company when the boys turned 5 and 8... the boys still love petting zoos.

Daddy Adventure Days

Angie had to teach a 3 hour class from home on a Saturday morning... so Greg and the boys had an adventure of their own.  They packed up their bikes, grabbed Round Rock donuts and headed to Town Lake to ride around the city of Austin.

Lost Tooth (at lunch)

Angie was in the cafeteria talking with Adam when she saw David across the room scanning the room for any adult.  She quickly realzied he lost his tooth!

Even as a fourth grader this is exciting!

 

Terrific Texan

 Adam is the Terrific Texas this week in his class.  He was originally scheduled to be the Terrific Texas the week he was quarantined.  So, he has been waiting for a while.  This means that he is the special helper all week.  He loves the leadership opportunity, helping a new friend to school, taking things to the office, passing out papers.  This is a good week in the life of a first grader.

He also makes a poster to share with the class about himself.  Adam chose all of the pictures and wanted no input.  He also chose all of the stickers, the color of poster board and the arrangement of how it looked.  Every time Angie offered her opinion it was not taken well.  Adam had a vision of woodland animals, crooked pictures not in rows, and a flag with a wrinkle in it so that it would look like it is flying.  Then be put swirly stickers to make it look like wind.  

His teacher sent this note to angie:

"Adam's poster looks amazing.  He did a great job presenting his poster today.  He was very proud of it and when he was presenting his voice was the perfect pitch so that everyone could hear him.  His vocabulary was excellent."

Adam we sure do love you!
