Adam is Thankful

 Cleaning out Adam's backpack, Angie found this Thankful Turkey from Adam.

Here are what the feathers say:

I am thankful for books because I can read them.

I am thankful for my thumbs because they let me hold stuff.

I am thankful for water because it keeps my hydrated.

I am thankful for my soul because it keeps me alive.

I am thankful for school because it makes me smart.

I am thankful for video games because they are fun.

When Angie asked Adam if anything might be missing he said, "I know, if I had 7 feathers I could have said family.  But I didn't have 7 feathers."

And so now we know we rank below thumbs, books, water, school, his soul and video games.

Decorating the Christmas Tree

Tonight we decorated our Christmas tree.  The boys were very particular about finding ornaments that were specific to what they remembered this hasn't been important before this year.  Also, they involved Holly as much as possible this year, even trying to get her to hang up an ornament.

The boys took turns stinging lights...

They both hung all of the ornaments... and decided their ornaments from Mimi should go on their tree upstairs...

They both helped put the star on the top... Daddy was the real MVP... Adam had a prime seat on his shoulders.

All done!

Yesterday the boys decorated thier upstairs tree when we got home from Houston... it looks like two boys had their hands on it... and it could not be more beautiful.  One big tree instead of two trees in each of their rooms we decided is better.

Then it was time to relax and end our break with a movie night and twinkle lights.

We wish we had more time to be at home... looking forward to our next break.

Family Thanksgiving

Last Sunday night we celebrated Thanksgiving with Greg's family.  It was an evening with cousins, friends, and lots of delicious food.

Adam decided he wanted to make brownies to take to Gram's house for thanksgiving.

Thursday we drove to Angie's family for a delicious meal with cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents.

Grandad had an Oreo train to make... Gram had a fun game of Dogopoly that went into 11:00 at night...

There was delicious Mexican Food at Pesos complete with a kids table, Adam's request.

And time away with family, rest, and a slow day was just what we all needed.

Pictures with Santa and Christmas Lists

We started Thanksgiving Break with a trip to see Santa.  These boys were ready with lists in hand...

But the boys were concerned that Santa didn't tell them if they were on the nice list.  Also, he didn't ask specifically about their lists.  So, they went home and made nicer lists so that we could go back to Santa and drop their lists in the mail box for Santa.
