David came off of the bus on Monday with a new smile. While at school he lost tooth number 5.
That makes two teeth he has lost at school this year. Angie and Greg were both surprised because neither realized that tooth was even loose. David said he was just in the hallway and it came out.
At bedtime David told Angie that he couldn't put his tooth under his pillow because the tooth fairy had a meeting with the Easter bunny Monday night. Tuesday night however she was back in business and could come leave his money.
This creative imaginative little boy - looking too grown up!

Wild Kratts Live
2 years ago we got tickets for David and Greg to see Wild Kratts live. And even though Adam was only 2 1/2 at the time we realized that he would have enjoyed it too.
Then this past birthday 4 and 7, the boys had a Wild Kratts birthday party. So, when we saw that the show was coming back to town we knew we needed to take the boys again. David was even asking for tickets again. This Christmas one of our goals was to give more memories than things. We bought tickets and gave them as a Christmas gift to the boys. Sunday evening was finally the show and we all had a great time. It was extra fun because both boys wanted to wear their Wild Kratts gear... and kept it on the entire hour and a half of the show.
These three - they are everything.

52 Years
Today Mimi and Ed celebrate 52 years of marriage. How thankful we are for the way that they love our family so very well. We hope that today they know how much we love them both.

Mama and Adam Day
After David's award assembly on Wednesday Adam and Angie had an entire day together.
So, they decided to explore a "new" park. This is a park in our old neighborhood... once that David went to when he was one. But at the time was really not old enough for this park.
Well, Adam loved the playground, but what he really loved was all of the nature trail and preserve to explore.
We actually began our morning at Adam's school. We dropped off the paperwork for Adam's last year of preschool next year... how will he already be a Ready Rocket?!
Then we headed out to explore at the Brightwater Park...
Adam is hunting DINOSAURS!
He is really becoming so much more daring
And boy does he love to jump
We had more fun at home and got David off of the bus. We went to get haircuts and made a trip to the bookstore and as soon as we were back home these two became Ninja's while Angie unloaded the dishwasher! We love that Adam has a sword and a Walkie Talkie... he is really into dress up now like David was and slowly David is beginning to phase out...:(

We Met Our Match
Well David has done well with his dog walking business. He has many little puppies that love him. But, our neighbors just adopted a new puppy and we think we met our match. JJ is a puppy we had to say we can't walk again... he was trying to bite his leash, he kept jumping up to Angie's shoulder and nipping, and he knocked Adam down more than once. The thing is... these boys never complained... they both just stated they would never do this again.

From Gram and Grandad
It is fun to receive mail with your name on it. Gram and Grandad will occasionally mail the boys a little treat. So, when an envelope came from Crosby the boys thought it might be a valentine treat.
However, as soon as they realized it really was not something exciting these papers Gram mailed were put to the side and...
life went on as it had before the mail was checked.
Gram mailed the boys an assignment Angie had done in fourth grade or so and a few Hedgehog activities Adam could do since he is a happy hedgehog this year... not quite the surprise these two thought they were opening.

Semester Awards
Yesterday, David had fall semester awards assembly. He was given Shining Star in Reading and an award for his reading minutes. How proud we are of him and how is reading identity has taken off this year. In fact, he came home from school interested in a new book series so off we went to Half Price Books!
And here is the thing that we see in these pictures, they are not great quality, or a great angle, what we see is a little first grade boy that loves school. He didn't shake hands with his assistant principal, principal, and teacher - he hugged them big! How we love that he feels safe and important when we are not with him!
And this little brother had a hard time waiting to be able to see his brother... how proud he was of David!
Mimi came too!
David and some of his great friends... Tyler...
And Megan were Ready Rockets with David!

Bus Stop
When Angie picks up the boys in the afternoon from Mimi and Grandpa Ed's they like to play bus stop. The boys run to the corner where David gets off of the bus and wait for Angie to pull up the "bus."
She rolls down the window and asks if they are waiting for bus 1737 and of course they are.
Angie snapped these last Friday as she rolled down her window because they were looking too grown up. Time is moving so very fast this year!
