Movie Making

 The boys have had lots of fun making movies this summer for their YouTube channels. They have ploys, lots of action, and the costumes could win awards.

David's Summer Track Season

David ran 3 events at district track.  He placed in three events and made it to regionals.

He celebrated by making a cake!

Regionals was in San Antonio.  This meet was across three days and David had events each day.  Mimi and Ed got us a hotel room.  The first Day Angie took him for his relay, 4X800.  This was David's relay team... they are moving on to Junior Olympics!

Friday he ran the 3000 and did his personal best... 10:52.

Ed also took David and Angie out to Olive Garden, David's pic, for some carbo-loading.

Angie took David to the mexica market to look around to get out of the heat...

Saturday Greg came up and Angie went to Austin... Angie had to get Adam to his swim meet.  On Saturday David ran the 1500, also his personal best 5:25.  He celebrated with Chicken Mini's thanks to Grandpa Ed.

 On to Nationals, Junior Olympics, in August!  David we are so proud of you!

Adam's Week with Mom

Adam had a week with Angie while Greg and David had a father/son adventure in Wyoming... more to come on that.

Thursday after Greg and David left Adam had his friend Nash over for the day.  After dinner Angie took Adam to Amy's Ice cream - one of his favorite spots for a treat.  Cold pressed vanilla with cookie dough is his treat of choice.  

Friday we met our friends Charley and Emily at the Austin Aquarium... Adam loved showing Charley around.   

After the aquarium we went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch... and then into HEB for a quick pick up... and Adam won Instant Winner with Buddy Bucks!

Once we were home Oliver came over for a sleep over... they even were served dinner upstairs.  This is usually a big NO.  But they promised to be careful.

After dinner Adam made Oliver his "famous" milkshakes... the reason we needed to stop at HEB earlier in the day...

Saturday morning the boys were up early for Pokémon Club at the library... they traded and played for a little over an hour.

After Pokémon club Adam went to Oliver's house to swim and play for the rest of Saturday.

Sunday, Micah came over to play and have a sleepover...

Angie made roasted chicken for dinner and the boys found the wishbone.

After dinner they swam...

And then were ready for bed at 8:30.

Monday, Adam took a 3-hour nap, very rare these days...

We did a big grocery trip for the week after he woke up... and he got another instant winner.

Then it was time to get ready to pick up Greg and David from the airport, but first Adam made a welcome home sign.

It was a fun week with lots of simple moments that made big memories.

Foodies

 This week we found some good deals for some un snacks.

We had extra bananas so we made a favorite around here... banana bread.

Cinnaholic had their classic cinnamon roles for $2 on Wednesday... we we brought one home and took one to Greg for a little after lunch pick me up.

There was a chess game the boys plated around with for a bit...

And Pok-E-Jo's has kids eat free this summer... so we had a little bbq lunch one day with Oliver.

We don't want summer to end!
