Apex Dance Party

The boys have been raising money for their school for the last 2 weeks.  The normal fundraisers have not happened this year so this was a big deal. It was a fitness dance party.  The two classes with the most raised in the school happened to be both of their classes. David's class being the over all top earners in the school.
Adam won crazy hat day and stuffed animal day.
David's class won, crazy hair day, pajama day, stuffed animal day and popsicle day.
His class also got to silly string their principal!
Here they are with crazy hair and a crazy hat!

Thursday was the Dance Party Fitness Move Day!  Adam is ready with his glow stick.  His class had their party at 9:00 in the morning.

David had his dance party at 2:00 in the afternoon!

After silly stringing the principal - David thought this was great!
Angie was able to go to both classrooms to see all of the fitness/dance moves.
So much fun!

Remembering Uncle Jason

A year ago today we lost Uncle Jason.  Today we had a memorial for him, getting all of his friends and family together, to remember Jason.  This time last year our state was in a lockdown so there wasn't an opportunity to gather together.  Today we remembered a brother, son, husband, uncle, friend and father that is very missed.

We found Adam meditating in the grass...
Mimi, Uncle Dwayne (Mimi's brother) and Daddy
Cousins...

Adam, The Sweetest Soul

He is so proud of himself for learning to flip on the trampoline.
He has a sweet group of friends that all live within walking distance - so play time is often and always outside.

Hanging out at his friends house - he might have made himself at home.
This little girl loves Adam.  She just came to America from Vietnam and Pham and Adam have a special bond.  Adam tries to learn words in her language so that they can chat.

Adam came home and found this flier on our door for our city elections... this is Adam's former speech teacher.  He was so excited to see her on our door...

And then we went and voted for her!
Sometimes he snuggles up in bed with a good stack of books and just falls asleep!

At night he is always surrounded by a pile of stuffies and pillows.
Adam's neck became twisted again this spring, but Daddy made it better in about a week.
Adam leveled up again and his only 8 classes away from Alpha!

This little guy is so excited to be 8... one more month.

David, He Makes us Smile

One of David's newest favorite authors asked readers to send in a picture of themselves reading to a pet.  So, David just continued reading one of the books he has going right now and Angie went up and snapped a few pictures of this boy and his dog.

David went out and went exploring one afternoon and came home with flowers for Angie.  He even put them in a vase he painted for her years ago for mothers day... some days it is like he is still a sweet preschooler that loves his Mama.
Our little readers... Angie walked up to find out what David was doing upstairs and found David in a new book in a new reading spot.
At school Angie had packed left overs from dinner for David's lunch.  When Angie went over to tell David hi he told her it was just as good as Pesos.
Still an animal loves...
This was inside of Field and Stream - he loved that big buffalo.
And there are still days he will dress up and go exploring... he had his notebook hanging around his neck, his homemade shield on his back, and a treasure chest to collect any treasures on his adventure.

A boy and his dog - he really loves her.

Crazy Weather

Our spring weather has had a few hailstorms mixed in... here are some of the biggest pieces of hail we have seen in the last 10 years.  The boys don't ever remember hail - they actually both were a little scared.  But it only lasted about 20 minutes and all was well again.
