A Visit With Santa

We decided to Santa Monday.  Greg met us at the mall on his quick lunch break. 
The boys brought their Santa lists.  Adam left his with Santa just for reference.  David didn't use his list to talk with Santa this year. 
David told Santa he wanted a 4 wheeler, a desk and desk chair and a puppy.  He told Santa in that order strategically too.  He remembered that when he asked for a hamster that was the only thing Santa asked him about and didn't ask about the rest of his list.  So, he left his number one gift to save until the end.
Adam asked for a lifetime supply of chocolate chip cookies and a tv.  Then he read his list to Santa after that.  Those were his top 2 items for Santa.  He doesn't understand about food spoiling or going stale. Adam's lists reads: cookies, tv, scarf with dinosaurs on it, dinosaur set, Legos, bike horn, IPod.

 

 And we don't seem to ever leave the mall without a trip to The Great American Cookie Company!
But they had to wait to eat them at home - too messy for the car.

It is the time of year where we like to snuggle up in our Christmas Pajamas and have some lazy mornings.

House Thanksgiving

We celebrate Thanksgiving with Greg's family early because we will be in Houston on Thanksgiving day each year.
This year David really wanted Mimi and Ed to order a whole Turkey instead of just a turkey breast.  And so in true Mimi and Ed fashion they did.
Jake was in town from College, but Kayla was in London performing with her college drill team the Texas Rangerettes.
We had a nice afternoon of food, family and Dallas Cowboy football.

We headed down to Lady Bird lake Saturday to take a few family pictures and enjoy the city.

We have finally come back to a season where we can do more now with the boys.

As we were taking pictures a photographer offered to take one unedited shot with her camera and text it to us.  Here it is...

Dessert

We had a very nice family day Saturday and went to dinner downtown.  The boys love being in the city- they think it is just like New York.
We decided to celebrate our family day with special dessert! Chocolate Piñata- filled with fresh fruit and mini churros.
