Winter Fun - School Days - Friends

The boys very favorite cookie shop announced they would be closing the day before Valentine's Day.  So, we made a trip to enjoy a few more cookies and get some cookie dough to freeze.

At the beginning of the year Adam made a declaration that every Saturday night would be game night in our house.  We rotate each week who chooses the game.  Then Angie saw his writing in the hall - "Love is playing games."
Also, Adam had his first substitute of the school year in February. She started the day by telling an entire class of first graders that it was her birthday.  Adam made everyone crowns to wear.  When Angie saw them at lunch the entire class was wearing crowns made from construction paper.  Adam even put his on the next morning to wear back to school - luckily Angie was able to talk him out of that idea.

Holly And Greg like the same beer... David thought this was so funny!
David spent a Sunday afternoon with our neighbor riding in his Porsche.  He even taught David how to shift and let David move from gear to gear on their drive.

Adam earned another award at KidStrong.

On Super Bowl Sunday the boys had KFC chicken legs... Adam devoured his.

They both have spent time with friends...

Holly has a new friend named Cocoa - this is Ralph's little sister.  So much fun with all 3 this summer... something to look forward to!
Sometimes - you just fall asleep sitting up...
One Sunday after church we decided to stop and eat at the County Line.  The boys have not eaten in a restaurant since March.  They asked if we could come back every Sunday...

And Holly got the rib bones... first and last time for that!

Holly hangs out on the couch day and night waiting to be petted...

Megan and David still have adventures each week - target practice...
Wood burning...

The boys were inspired by Cousin Lila and made a giant chocolate cookie... no one liked it at our house

Adam had to quarantine for 2 weeks because he sat next to someone at school that had symptoms of Covid.  He was never sick, but being at home for 2 weeks was hard on EVERYONE!  At the time Angie was teaching second grade full time, trying to teach Adam first grade and get David back and forth to school each day.

David read a series - Year of the Dog, Year of the Rat, and Dumpling Days.  He then asked to try dumplings and we had a chinese feast.  So much fun.
This book also described and explained the Name Chop in Taiwan... Angie had forgotten all about her name chop.  It was fun to talk about this with David.  Hopefully we will see Angie's family soon to see it in person.
The ink...
Angie's name in Taiwanese...
Angie's chop is the Dragon...
Waiting for David at pickup while in quarantine...

Never want to forget the way this little boys sleeps... hand on face, eye mask on and...
knees up under 3 blankets.
Back at school for stuffed animal day.
One last trip to the cookie shop!
Life is so much better with our boys!
