Breakfast with Santa

This morning at our neighborhood community center Santa came for breakfast. Originally we were going to be out of town this weekend, but our plans changed and we were able to see Santa again this season.
As you can tell because this was last minute Angie did not have David dressed in Christmas attire... he was dressed for a Saturday of play before we remembered the event and we did not want to undress and dress again, so off we went in play clothes.
Breakfast was David's very favorite, donut holes from Round Rock Donuts!

there was carolers from Round Rock High

so David got into the spirit with a little dance

and tried to listen to a story, while grabbing the little boy next to him the entire time... David lasted about 1 minute at the story corner

there were crafts too, but David was not interested. He wanted to see Santa, but the line was long... we were number 99 and decided at number 70 we just could not wait any more. So we said hi and bye to Santa from afar...

maybe next year

lots of finger licking

delicious icing... that was all David wanted

fun in the tent, funny David really wanted to play with Mommy this day

watching the vacuum pick up the sprinkles from the creative work of children... David stood and said, "EEEEEEEEEEE," the sound of the vacuum

Candy Monster

Can you understand the words of this 1 year old?

And then Daddy came home and this...

Grandpa Ed and Aunt Amy introducded David to M&M's around Halloween; he has fallen for the tiny bits of chocolate covered in a hard candy shell. We bought a bag just for decoration and David saw the bowl sitting on our breakfast table the first day. We are now rethinking this decoration and are considering hiding the bowl until company comes... which is rare these days.
David has fallen right in line with the M&M lovers in his family - Grandad, Aunt Christie, Cousin Luke, and Cousin Kayla

Thank You Aunt Brenda

Aunt Brenda made David a new Christmas outfit. It is reversible and gives us two options for the season! We love it; David points to it and says, SANTA!, when he sees it in his closet. Thank you Aunt Brenda for sharing your time and your talent with us - we love this!

Santa has Come to Town

This morning after our workout we skipped the Farmer's Market and headed to see Santa at the mall. We were unaware that it was breakfast with Santa morning... we thought we would be avoiding the crowd.
Anyway, David walked up to Santa and sat in his lap all on his own, he has been saying "Santa" this week. He looked at Santa while Santa was talking to him; he was again so fascinated with Santa, just as last year, he did not look toward the camera. After a while of sitting in Santa's lap he stared at the floor, waiting for something else to happen... nothing... so he slid out of Santa's lap and gave Daddy a hug. Off they went to ride the carousel while Mommy waited in another line for the picture.
