Growing Bugs

Last week Angie made an impulse by at the grocery story. She remembered these little things from her childhood and decided David may want to try "growing a bug."
So we opened the package

and dropped one in

then a couple more

the neighbors wanted to find out how to grow a bug too

we watched

and poked

and waited

and watched

for a long time

a drink break was needed from all of this waiting and watching

David thought his puppy even needed a drink

and finally we had bugs!

Special Ingredient

David helped with dinner tonight. He enjoyed making tuna salad, but insisted on a secret ingredient...

have you found it?

corn... he added corn and Daddy did not even notice

mixing is hard work, David decided he needed a snack break...
works out well when one of the ingredients can turn into a great snack too; apple slices, yum!

and after all of that work there is nothing like relaxing with your best pal Bella

you know he loves her when he offers her his paci

side note: If you are wondering about David's face, he found a writing pen while Mommy was cleaning up an earlier creative project by a wee one who shall remain nameless.

Daddy Time

Daddy took David to feed the ducks while Mommy went grocery shopping.
David seems a little protective of his bread.

I wonder why...?

20 Months Happy

Today our wee little one turns 20 months old. The hardest thing about this is to realize that in 4 short months we will have a 2 year old; seems impossible! We continue to love this role of parent and are filled with joy as we spend our days with David.
David is talking in sentences much more often and asks for things using manners without being reminded. He is also telling us "bless you,"when we sneeze or cough. David enjoys telling Bella, "NOOOO!" when she barks. He stands in time out without being held and many times will tell himself ,"No" when he does something he knows he should have not tried. We are so proud of David's hard work as he learns new language and skills every day! Happy 20 months David!

Soccer Tots

Today was David's first official Soccer Tots day. We think he had a pretty good time.
We began with a warm up run

the players were to touch the wall after their run

the next drill was to roll a hula - hoop and run after it

then it was time to dribble the ball down the field

next up the players were to step on the cone to stand it up

David liked to use his hands

water break

after water everyone received a tail, the players were to run and pull each others tails

The Three Musketeers gave up on tails and found the balls

Obstacle Course was up next

the last drill was one last run and then dribble down the field

then the coach gave a little talk to the players
and everyone came in for a huddle - Goooo Soccer Tots

David did a little hydrating with some Gatorade, a true Sportsmen!
