22 on 22

David turns 22 months old on this 22nd day of March.
As you can tell from our monthly photo shoot David is just as busy as ever. He sits still when he is buckled in, such as his car seat. However today Mommy had to pull over because it seems our clever little one figured out how to unbuckle his seat. He is very independent and is beginning to assert himself when things don't go according to David's plan.
We continue to be filled with joy every minute we get to spend with this bundle of energy and are so thankful for such a priceless gift.

















All of the pictures were taken today, on his 22 month birthday, but you will notice a wardrobe change. A big mess was involved and clothes had to be changed.

A fun Saturday, St. Patrick's Day, at a wonderful new park!

Pizza Cupcake

David attended his first cooking class Monday with a few of his friends. The menu... Cupcake Pizza. David enjoyed tasting all of the ingredients as he was making his pizza. However, once it came out of the oven he was not too interested. Mommy thinks he was expecting a real cupcake. On the way home David continued repeating in the back set, " Happy Birthday cupcake?"
The first step in becoming a great chef, decorating your own chef's hat...


this was David's first experience with markers; he got creative


David was a trooper and wore his hat so Mommy could get a few pictures, but he was determined to look unhappy




Finally down to the pizza business, first rub your hands in olive oil...

roll your dough around in the olive oil and pinch it into the cupcake liner

spread on the sauce

sprinkle a little cheese, and maybe taste it too


then wait for it to bake...

after all of that hard work all David wanted to do was play tea party with his friends. So much for the pizza. David is great at tea party, he even knows to cross his ankles!:)

Dinner

There are nights when David will eat fairly well...


and then there are nights where Elmo gets a great meal...

Going Shopping

At times David grabs a bag and heads toward the front door saying, "Bye" or "I go". He sees Mommy and Daddy do this daily and sometimes he wants to go too!

Yesterday Daddy brought David a surprise home after work... David was still requesting cupcakes and had eaten the batch he made with Gram this week.
