Quick Trip

We made a fast trip to Houston Tuesday after David's first day of school.  We were able to squeeze in a few visits before a doctor visit for Adam.  We had a fun and successful trip.
Adam's first road trip... He did fairly well, we had to stop three times but just for him to eat and we were back on the road.
David was tired from school - he was the only child in his class that did not nap

When we arrived at Gram and Grandad's we did not even go inside before meeting the cousins to ride bikes and play in the cul-de-sac

Once night fell it was inside to play...
 and make ice cream...

 Time to shake shake shake...

 And enjoy...

All together at the end of a fun day
 Wednesday we visited Gram's school...

And here she is with David at the same age

And after a trip to the medical center for Adam we headed back to Austin.  A fast successful trip!

A Whole New World

Today David begins his first day of preschool.  He slept in this morning and we were a little rushed, but he was so excited!
Last Tuesday was David's orientation.  He brought his teacher a new book and an apple.

David also received his first school project... an All About Me Poster.  We made it a family project.  David had more input than we expected.

Here is the finished project
And finally the first day of school arrived this morning and David was thrilled.  He slept in.  Ate a quick breakfast of French Toast and Chocolate milk.  We had a few minutes for pictures
 and celebration!

Then it was time for school
Think he may have been loaded down...?
Waiting for the school bell to ring.  When it did David took off and left Angie behind.  He hung his backpack and lunch up (on someone else's hook) and was off to play.
Angie asked David if she could snap a picture with his teacher before leaving.  David's response, "I don't think so.  Not right now I am busy."  This was all she could get.
We are looking forward to a great year of learning and growing.
Here is a little something Angie did with David - we ran out of time this morning for weight and height - but we will get to it this week!

To BIg Too Fast

Adam just seems to be bigger and stronger than the average three month old.  He is three weeks and one week and time is moving too fast.  Angie would like him to stay little for a longer period of time!
Look at this strong and determined little guy.  We love him so!  David will walk up to strangers and say," I have a little brother, Adam.  Isn't he cute?"  We have been blessed with sweet healthy boys and are so proud of our little family.
Adam - 14 weeks...

Here is David at 17 weeks...

Swinging

We spent quite a bit of time outside this weekend.  It was Adam's first ride in his outside swing.

This happens to be the same weekend three years ago that David took his first ride in the swing...
