Special Moments

At church David made Noah's Arc and was able to fill it with Animal Crackers.  This was something he wanted to remember - so much fun!

Adam and one of his best friends Brady.  Adam even happened to have on his firefighter shirt!
David's amazingly tall tower.:)
David ran into our neighbor Suzie at the middle school.  He went with Mimi and Krista to pick up Krista's schedule and ran into Suzie.  He also saw his old preschool director there.
David was asked to show his class how to be open to listening to someone if there is a conflict - in front of an "open door"  Lots of symbolism in this class!

BIG Firsts

Angie was NOT ready for the two firsts that happened Friday.

David bought his first tray lunch.  His little friend gave him a hug and his mom caught it on camera... it also captured a first of buying school lunch!

The other first on Friday came at bedtime.  Adam declared himself a big boy.  Which meant he could not sleep in his crib.  He slept the night away on David's top bunk.  The boys slept together in David's room like this until 5:00 am.

Thankfully he liked it, but he also likes his crib and has slept in his own bed for naps and bedtime.  But we know soon we will be converting his crib into a bed.

It is Different

It is very different dropping David off early each morning...

Then Mama and Adam spend time together... one on one time has been rare with them.

We play hard, but we both miss David too!

Church Picnic

Our church has a fun gathering last Sunday after each service time.  We enjoyed bbq, sausage wraps, salads, snow cones, and cookies.  There were alot of games too that we enjoyed.  The best part was just being together in a place we love.  These are the days that make us so thankful for ordinary moments that bring our little family closer together.

Studious

David is still a little writer - which his Mama loves!  One night he was supposed to be asleep.  Instead he was up in his room writing.  And look that little writer has his pen tucked behind his ear.  He has his writers notebook.  He was working on this when Angie found him... it says.  I love to write.  And he made a quick sketch of himself writing.
The next night Angie was reading this book to Adam.  When we came to this page Angie could not even finish reading it before Adam said, "He is crying because he doesn't have a nose."  This little thinker was synthesizing everything he knows about why Cookie might be sad.  He doesn't have any background about an onion making someone cry.  But he knows that you might be sad if you don't have a nose.

These two boys keep our hearts full.  We hope they always find joy in writing and reading.

Mama and Adam

We both miss David on Monday's when he is at school and we are used to him being home with us.  But this little one is becoming a great little side kick.  So thankful for a few more years home with my sweet baby.

Hard Work

These boys of ours are both really hard workers at school.  And we are very lucky to receive pictures from school of their efforts!

Adam and Brock are already friends.  Adam was so excited to know someone in his class!
