Pandemic Week 3

Monday was our first official day of work and school.  We started the day with a long walk for the boys and Holly to get out energy out.  We spotted a hawk multiple times that morning.

Then it was school and work time.

By lunch Holly needed a walk and some attention.

Ed came by and gave David a golf lesson.
We decided by Tuesday evening we would do some more art... Angie had to work all day Tuesday with not much time for the boys... all we did was walk.

PE in the backyard Wednesday.

Art in the kitchen... painting plastic eggs...

David had a friend turning 9 on Wednesday so we drove by and told him happy birthday!

The boys made cookies on Thursday...
And their own bubble solution.  It worked surprisingly well.. after making it we realized that we didn't have a bubble wand.

And got out the Play-Do

Adam's teacher also called him on Thursday... he was so happy to talk to her!
Thursday afternoon Angie and the boys decided to go back and pick strawberries before it was supposed to storm... The boys playing with the chickens. Right after these pictures they jumped in the car to leave and the wind picked up making it look like they were in the Wizard of Oz.  Heavy farm equipment was blowing around, chickens were being pulled into the air, and all they could see was dust.  Angie's phone rang... it was Greg which is rare for him to call.  When she picked up he sounded concerned asking where they were.  He proceeded to tell her that there was a tornado in the area where they were.

Back home safely!
A little math practice outside...

David helped with the yard Thursday night...

There was games of Connect 4...

On Friday Angie looked up from working because she heard something on the Window... David was outside with her mom, and ironing soap bottle which he had filled with soap, and was "washing" the windows.

We watched Good Friday service on TV... the boys were excited to have WHITE bread for communion...

Saturday we were awakened by two masked men...
And were then given a proclamation that Saturday was Holly's day...

This guy has been walking around with his salt gun all week shooting bugs.

There have also been lots of forts built...

And surprise critters left places all over the house.
But probably the best fun were this surprise egg hunt we had Friday morning.  We were hit early in the day and then we went and "Egged" four other families in the neighborhood.  This happened through Saturday as families continued passing on the fun.  The boys favorite part was making sure we added the empty egg on the front porches so that it was for sure found.

We also made "Snow" Friday

Gram and Grandad surprised the boys with Chick-Fil-A cards in the mail and so they immediately wanted breakfast.  Fastest they have gotten dressed in days.

As hard as it is for Angie to work with the deadlines that she has - we still find time here and there for a little fun.  And we finished all school assignments early in the day Friday to have a longer weekend.

Pandemic Week 2

This week was harder as Angie’s work load took on the writing of lesson and recording it for every Kinderarten Student in the district.  The boys got very little attention, but we are all learning to just accept the things that can’t be changed right now.
One day Angie had 10 calls back to back every hour.  at 2:30 in the middle of a call she smelled something burning.  David was trying to make lunch rather than interrupt Angie.  These really are good sweet boys!
There were some fun moments sprinkled in between the hours and hours of work.
David did get his cast off on Friday afternoon - only to discover his arm was still broken.  3 more weeks in a brace.
Sunday we went to a local farm to get eggs.  However, they were out of eggs so we picked strawberries instead.  They were so good and we ate them all by Monday afternoon.

Gram and Grandad sent an Easter Surprise package.  This kept the boys busy Tuesday afternoon.

There were so many walks this week, but many were in the rain. The days have been in the 40's and raining... making it hard with a dog and 2 active boys and a mom that is giving no attention to anyone.  But there were a couple of evenings that it cleared up at sunset.  We have even found ducks and snakes on our walks this week.  One afternoon Angie convinced the boys they needed to walk Holly.  They were in the back of the neighborhood when it just went from drizzle to a downpour.  Everyone was soaked.

On Friday Afternoon a principal had warm cookies deleivered to our house.  She knew the hours in which Angie has been working and wanted her to take a break and enjoy a minute with a boy.

David has had a very difficult time sleeping so Holly has started sleeping with him this week.  He has slept thorught the night every night Holly has been with him.

Adam has his first wiggle tooth!!
Both boys were able to talk and see their principal and teachers this week.  Our district has a no "live"policy with students, but when your mom is working with them the rules can be bent when we were all in the same room together.  This really made David happy!

The boys read while Angie worked.
Our neighborhood association asked chidlren to color easter eggs and put them up in front house windows.  When families walk they can go on an "Easter Egg Hunt" by counting how many eggs they see.  We are up to 23.
Both boys were featured twice on our school district Facebook page.  Once for their Lego builds and once for reading with a pet.  There is a 48 hour challenge publised twice a week and the boys did both this week.

Holly has wanted lots of attention this week... and has found lots of trouble too.

One afternoon the boys made brownies...
Dress up is still strong in this house!
Adam made up some new jokes..
David sent a video to his teacher.
We are ready for the weekend!
