A Month of Summer

We began the summer with moving Angie out of the office that she has been housed in for 10 years.  Her office space will become home to students over 18 that still need services.  This is a really good reason to be relocated, again. David, Adam and especially Greg were very helpful with this move... we made it in only 2 trips.

Mimi and Ed had a little birthday celebration for the boys.

We hosted a graduation party for Krista...

David and Jake played some party music...

Adam got his triangle to play in the band with Jake and David.  Playing the triangle is Adam's New Year's Resolution.
Guirtal and Triangle - no greater sound.
There has been dress up many days...
Holly gets lots of walks... even in dress up clothes.
There have been a few Starbucks trips... these boys have saved their gift cards and are now on a spending spree...

There has been make believe play time...
And trips to the pool with and without friends...

There has been Lego building...
And a celebration of National Donut Day!
We have made many trips to Typhoon Texas - once a week!

Sometimes we picnic in the car - lunch at Typhoon Texas is expensive!
And sometimes treats are bought at the end of the day for the car ride home...

There have been trips to Costco with a few impulse buys...

It even was buckled up to come home.
There have been wildlife encounters on our walks...
At the pool...

At Mimi and Ed's...

And unfortunately David found a hive of red wasps when he went to scoop poop... his sweet face was swollen for 2 days.
Adam has been allowed to dress himself for the summer - confirming this is still a job for Angie during the school year - patterned shorts, short and socks, but he sure is happy about dressing himself.
Both boys bring books in the car now to read, read, read.
We pet sitted a hamster...
And Adam finally got his wish of a giant Hershey bar thanks to his friend Luke!

Lots of Mama and Son time - never ever enough of that!

We have cooled off with snow cones...

There has been outside playtime - while David runs track.

And Mama school every morning - One child happily sits down and does it while the other one groans hoping to get out of work.

There has been ice cream afternoons at Mimi and Ed's...

We visited David's third grade teacher and finally got to play with baby Reid!

There have been some quiet afternoons of drawing and reading...

even Grandpa Ed rested one afternoon while David was painting his fence...
David is such a hard worker - and loves physical labor...

There have been many trips to the library - which we all enjoy!
Afternoon naps on homemade pallets...
And inside campouts in the playroom...

This sweet smile wakes Angie up every morning...
We have had extra playtime at church because we are not rushing to get ready to turn the page of a new Monday...
We even have to option of lunching at church...
We all agree it has been a 2 thumbs up month of June, but Summer is racing too quickly!
