Impromptu Play Date

After music yesterday we called David's friend Carter to see if he was available for an after nap play date. Good News - he was available. A fun time was had by the boys and the Mommies.

Carter does not take a pacifier, but seemed intrigued by these things David continued to trade in and out of his mouth... so he tried one out for himself. Carter decided it was not for him:)

Haircut for a Party

Last night we took David to get his second haircut. We like it longer, but it as getting a bit too long. Plus David had a Halloween party at music this morning and we needed our little lion to be "groomed."
This haircut experience was much better than the first. David never shed a tear and even laughed a little. He chose to sit in a fire truck. He "drove and drove" and rang the bell.

Then this morning we were off to Rat-A-Tat-Tots for a Halloween music party

Birthday Weekend

As mentioned on Saturday's post we traveled to Houston this past weekend for a birthday celebration.
The two husbands and Angie and Christie's mom and dad offered to watch the three kids while Angie and Christie spent sister time together. The twins headed to the mall and the rest of the family had cousin/grandparent time. The other large gift included in the weekend was that the parents also gave the sisters money for their shopping time, so no worry for the husbands as these two sisters headed out the door.

Happy Birthday

Today we celebrated Mommy's birthday and David's 17 month birthday. It is hard for us to believe. He is more and more like a little boy each day.
Mommy wanted a birthday picture with David. However, David was not in the mood. He was ready to go drive Mommy's car. We spent the weekend at Angie's sisters house; they are twins and want to be together on their birthday when possible.
David driving Mommy's car... one of his favorite activities at 17 months... what will it be like at 16 years?
