Today David turns 2 years and 3 months and his Mommy is still counting. After a long day at work, we spent some time in the backyard this evening enjoying this sweet blessing.
David continues to amaze us. He can now read 3 books, Down By The Bay, Daddy Kisses, and Brown Bear Brown Bear. One day maybe he will let us get video of his hard work. David's favorite books to hear aloud this month are what he calls his "Bible Book," which is his children's Bible and The Little Engine that Could.
His favorites continue to be swinging, trains, trucks, babies and running. He spends most of his days in imaginative play. He likes to play restaurant - this includes asking, " What you like?" and "Anything Else." and "Take it to your home.", grocery store - this includes asking "Do you want Buddy Bucks?", train - this includes setting up chairs in a row and calling all to " Come Aboard"
He is a happy boy with lots of opinions and ideas. He sings and dances and plays his way through most everyday. We love his bold personality and sweet heart.

Haircut
Angie has been wanting to take David for a haircut. It has been on the list of To Do's for a while. But with her hours at work running long the haircut has not been taken care of. So Greg stepped in and Saturday night took care of the haircut and crossed it off the list along with saving us a few dollars. David liked sitting on the bathroom counter just as much as sitting in the firetruck at Pigtails and Crew cuts. We may be doing this again.
Mommy had to step out mid haircut, it was making her nervous... but she has to admit it turned out well!
This little guy loved his new look!

Cuddle Up with a Good Book
David and Greg headed up to play while Angie cleaned the kitchen after lunch. It was quiet; usually sounds of tigers are heard or squeals of delight as the tiger is caught. But on this day nothing. Angie headed up to investigate and found this.
This scene usually occurs at bedtime, but this was mid-day Sunday and still they were curled up together with a good book, until Angie began taking pictures.
These two would not read anymore until the camera was put away.
Boys!

Dinner Conversation with David
After sitting down to dinner Wednesday night... yard work night
Mommy: (in a whisper voice to David) David tell Daddy the yard looks nice
David: Daddy, David likes guys
David is not quite ready to play telephone.

Never Ever Enough
It does not seem to matter how much time we have with him, it is never ever enough. We love the joy and laughter that fill our home because of this sweet little face!

Happy Birthday Trevor
We celebrated Trevor, our friend and previous neighbor, turning 5 at Chuck E Cheese Tuesday night. David had a great time. On the way home he continued to say, "Take me back to the party!"
After 4 months of not seeing each other... they used to play every day:)
Every treat that David took out of his party bag he said," Whoa, look at this!"
Thanks for a great party Trevor!

Long Lost Friends
David has been missing our next door neighbors from our previous house. They were close buddies and so today we had Andrew over for the day. David had the time of his life!
David pretended to call Trevor, Andrew's brother, several times while they played. In David's mind they should always be together!
Andrew chose Freddie's for lunch
play time
The boys decided they wanted to go to the pool. Andrew was without his swim suit, but we found a pair of 3T shorts he squeezed himself into along with my too large flip flops, what a trooper!
