A Big Day!

How can it be that this little guy turns 4 today!
David continues to surprise us everyday, just yesterday morning he asked Angie this, "Mom could I offer Adam some of my breakfast."  He loves his brother, his mom and dad, and his friends.  He is often on the hunt for a playmate and continues to enjoy attention from anyone.  He has never met a stranger.  He is into super hero's, cars and trucks, riding his bike, learning to swing himself, swimming under water, racing and digging in the backyard.  He is still reading with emergent storybook reading and his name is becoming more legible as he writes.  Math continues to be an interest that he seeks out.
He blesses us every single day and the last four year have happened in a flash!

Today also happens to be the last day of this... David's first year of preschool ends today.
We could not have asked for a better experience than the one of this first year.  David had a thoughtful, encouraging, teacher that showed grace and love every single day.  We love Ms. Angie!
She sent home all of David's things from the year on Tuesday including a photo album she created for each child.  She documented the year through pictures - about 30 pictures came home with David and we are so thankful to have his year in pictures.  Here are a few memories we shared with David at school this year!
Thanksgiving feast...
 Music play...
Cowboy Cookout...
Mother's Day Tea...
Today, on this last day of school, David will enjoy Chick-Fil-A, Kona Ice, and a bounce house.  He does not really understand the idea of summer or no more Ms. Angie.  He kind of thinks this celebration might just be for him, on this, his 4th birthday.  Happy Birthday to our sweet, funny, silly, happy, healthy David! We are incredibly thankful that The King of Kings created David for our family! David, We love you fiercely!

Mother's Day Fun

What a difference a year makes.  Last year we were two weeks away from meeting our sweet Adam, and well, this year he is almost walking. Thank goodness for the cameras at church or there would be no record of Angie with her greatest joy, this little family of ours!
We had a nice day together, Greg even ran all of the errands.  These boys and Greg are truly what Angie cherishes most and is most proud of.  This day is a great way to slow down and just enjoy the role of Mom.

Mother's Day

This is my fourth Mother's Day, but my FIRST as the Mother of TWO children.  This year has been a year of learning and loving these two little boys we are so blessed to call sons.  There are many days that I look at Greg and wonder how did I get this life with these two boys that have captured my heart from the moment I touched their little faces.  Mother is by far my favorite job and blesses me every single day.
I am so grateful to be the Mom to these two sweet, adorable, funny, happy boys!

Mother's Day Tea

Angie was invited to tea at David's school Tuesday morning... the invitation from David went something like this, "Mom, you can come to my tea tomorrow, but I already asked there is no real tea."  This boy knows his Mama loves tea!
Angie has had it on the calendar since September and has been looking forward to this time with David.  She took a couple of hours off of work Tuesday morning and enjoyed our big guy.  This will be a memory she will treasure always!
Angie and Mimi met David just outside of his classroom - here he is doing a great job walking in line to the Family Life Center...

And here we are at out table...
 Mama's gifts!
Here is the best gift of all - time with this boy that made Angie a Mom...

This print has found a place in our kitchen...
And this card well - David did a great job of remembering Angie's hair color and eye color...

But the reason that he loves her we are questioning... he  has had apples before bed - but candy we are hoping that is just wishful thinking!
