Fourth Tooth

So, Sunday David lost his fourth tooth.  This is the one Angie was dreading because this changes his little kid smile into a big kid smile.  He is so excited.  He ate a bbq sandwich, which is all over his face, then ate a chicken salad sandwich and it fell out.

First Boat Ride

Greg was gifted a little boat for Christmas.  This is something he has wanted for years.  Something easy to store, but that he and the boys can take out fishing.  We decided Saturday evening to take it out.  And it was a fun first short trip.

Pinewood Derby Day

David had his first Pinewood Derby race as a cub scout yesterday.  Adam also participated in the open division.
David and Greg and Adam worked on these cars for weeks.
Here is David's car.  He wanted a three wheel car.  The rules state it has to have 4 wheels so his fourth wheel is glued on the back.

Here is Adam's car.  This little boy has so much patience.  He painted and helped so much with his car.  He knew exactly how he wanted his stickers and  wanted no help in design from Greg.

Adam's race was first...

Adam really was excited to see his car race!
his car is the black car on the far right in this picture...

here it is in another race...

Then it was time for David's race...
His car is second from the top...

David's car is second on the left...
here it is in another race...
 so much excitement...
and then it flipped off of the track it was going so fast...

Here are a couple of David's races...
David took first place in his Den.

David was able to move on to the finals.  The problem: David's car flipped over it was going so fast at the end of each race that a piece broke off.  To enter the finals his car had to have all of the pieces before the race.  So, Greg and David glued and taped to front bumper back on.  But that slowed down the car and he did not place in the final race.
Before we were all buckled in the car to come home David and Adam were already planning their designs for next year.

Adam's Pajama Day

Yesterday pajama day for Adam at school.  He chose new dinosaur pajamas for this special day.  He doesn't usually wear pajamas, but has loved wearing these!
It is not fair that he has to get up so early for school... most of his friends are asleep until at least 8:00.  But this little one has to get up and out of our house early because his school days are Angie's work days.
Here is Adam early in the morning before we all left for school.
At school they also made pillow cases for their pajama day.  Everyone brought their pillow from home.  David still sleeps on his pillow case from his 4's class.  So much fun.
Here is Adam after school showing off his pillow case.  He chose the color brown for is handprint he says because it reminds him of chocolate.
 Our happy hedgehog!
Daddy and his boys and all of their "stuffy friends."

Winter Memories

We have spent the first few weeks of 2018 just enjoying being together as much as possible.
This was a fun memory from when Gram and Grandad visited!
Gram and Grandad mailed Adam and David a new phone.  We have a landline for the first time since before the boys were born... and they had never seen a phone attached to the wall...

Adam and Greg have built many different types of forts...

Car rides are usually humorous with these two along...
David always wants a hug when Angie comes in from a run, even if she is sweaty and he is fresh out of the bath...
Angie had a day where she was able to take this sweet little one to school - and he requested pictures...

Of Course silly pics are a must with him!

David made a new year resolution...
David had a dinner date with a friend... this was an impromptu playdate on a Friday night.  We had tortilla soup and cornbread... Caleb ate cornbread for dinner.

Angie came home from a long run to these three playing in the dark... some kind of battle was happening.

Stroller Strides was in the mall on a Saturday because the temperature was freezing.  And mall tradition means cookies for these two on the way out.

Angie has had some great runs in the cold... and Greg and the boys are willing to let her go which is so nice!

One morning Angie found the boys playing Memory... and David was teaching Adam to write down what was on each card in his notebook... each boys had his tiny topic notebook and was taking notes about the pictures on each card.  Defeats the purpose of the game memory, but they were writing so she just let it go...

Joy truly has brought this sweet little guy so much Joy.  He plays with her, gives kisses, and cleans her cage on his own.
On MLK day both boys were at Stroller Strides and we made dream catchers.  So fun that this is just what we do together.

David had another horseback riding lesson... he decided he needed to wear his vest and spurs this time.  His teacher is a good friend and thought it was so very cute.
So much fun in 2018!
