Just Like Daddy

Both David and Adam enjoy time with Greg.  Greg works hard, long late hours most nights, but he also makes time for his boys.  So, thankful they have such a good role model in their daddy because they very much want to be like him.

Boy Time

Early mornings for David and Mama at school, but he is always willing to give a hug and kiss

And this little guy has been falling asleep often like this.  He puts his blanket over his head and he is out... in the car, stroller, on Angie... It can be exhausting having an older brother.

Happy Dude

Nothing better than this happy boy ready to go each morning.  That bright happy smile just makes our day better.

But waking up early to get big brother to school and mom and dad to work means this happy guy crashes early.

Hamster Love

Joy has quickly become a very loved member of our family.  She is out of her cage often.  Last week during a play time we caught her yawning and were able to see her teeth, tiny tongue, and her cheek pouch full of seeds.  It has been fun learning about hamsters together as a family.

Grandad to the Rescue

Last week hit our family hard.  Poor Mimi came down with the flu late Monday evening.
So, Tuesday Angie went in late and picked up both boys and took them to work in the afternoon... disaster is an understatement.  The boys were  on their most boy behavior in a very important meeting Angie needed to attend.  She is still trying to overcome the embarrassment of that afternoon.
Wednesday, Adam woke up a little sluggish at 8:00am, almost 2 hours past his normal wake up time and at stroller strides that morning fell asleep in the stroller.  Angie knew he was not feeling good.  They got home and he had fever.  So, Angie was completely convinced he had flu.  She called the pediatrician and got an appointment for 6:00pm.  It turns our Adam did not have a virus or the flu... it was a true case of Cedar Fever.  He was vomiting, running fever, had body aches all because of his allergies poor baby.  And so, Grandad came to the rescue.  He got up extra early and drove to Austin Thursday morning to get to Austin by 9:30 when Greg needed to leave for work.  He took care of both boys Thursday and Friday so we could work and Mimi could recover.
Thank you Grandad for saving the end of our week!

Game Boy

Adam is our little one that loves to play games.  Board games, card games, puzzles, this is his thing.  He enjoys imaginary play also, but unlike David is very entrained by games.

School Fun

Last Thursday at school Adam had his teddy bear picnic.  He chose to take his panda to the picnic.  He wanted two "stuffies" in the picture with him however. All he told us was that "Pandie" was able to eat lunch with him.  But he seemed to enjoy it.

At David's school they have started enrichment classes on Friday.  Students had an opportunity to choose from things such as: sewing, cooking, storytelling, yoga, drums, coding, etc....  For an hour on Friday the entire school goes to Explore University at the same time.  So, the grade levels are mixed and students were grouped based on interest.  David chose drums.  Each session is nine weeks long.  It will be interesting what he learns about drums in the next nine weeks.  Here is a glimpse at his first class last Friday.
