Road Trip

David took his first road trip out of the state this past week. Thursday we left for Texarkana. Greg's extended family lives there and we wanted David to meet his cousins and Aunts and Uncles. Mimi and Grandpa Ed came along as well as Cousin Kayla.
We left later than we had hoped Thursday night; here are Grandpa Ed and Kayla watching a movie...

We stopped in Rockwall Thursday night to have a break and rest. This was David's first time in a hotel....
here he is relaxing on the big bed

then it was time for breakfast in bed

down to explore the hotel we went, David loves to push buttons

Grandpa Ed bought David a little souvenir dog from Rockwall Texas...

he gave it many hugs

Then we packed up the car and headed to Aunt Brenda's

David with Uncle Darrell and Rocky. David learned to say Rocky the first day we were there. He followed Rocky around barking and saying "Ocky."

David found Cousin Tripp's hat - he really wanted to wear it!

On the state line between Arkansas and Texas, David is standing in two different states; Can you see the line?!

It was hot on our tour of Texarkana, so we stopped for snowcones. David was able to sit out of his car seat for a few minutes while we ate - he loved it!

David decided his toes tasted better than a snowcone

We had a great time visiting and introducing David to all of his relatives. Thanks to Gregs Aunts who went to so much trouble to make our visit so enjoyable!

  1. So much fun packed into four days and two states! The cutest picture is the one of David walking and hugging his stuffed dog with Greg and Ed. Such an adorable waddle.
