Touch A Truck

Today the City of Round Rock put on their Touch a Truck event.  We remember when Cousin Luke was about this age and he went to touch a truck in The Woodlands and we were hoping David's experience here would be just as fun.  We were not disappointed.  We had a great morning.  David said his favorite truck was the S.W.A.T. truck.
When we arrived David first saw this fire fighter climbing the rope...
and the first truck he wanted to get in of course was the fire truck.  He ran right in and the fire fighter had to pull him out, he did not wait his turn in line, finally it was his turn...

from fire department to police department...

peek-a-boo, he loved the little window
it was hot... time for a Kona Ice break
 army trucks!

he loved being able to run from truck to truck

then without warning a helicopter flew in...

David needed some eye protection from the dust, Daddy's glasses to the rescue
 next up, tow truck

and then over to the helicopter

David's next choice was the Weapons of Mass Destruction truck

He talked and talked to the "corporal"  David had many questions about all of those buttons and when exiting he told the man, "Thank you for coming."
Last truck we had time for, the Trash Truck

He insisted on standing on the back like the trash men.
There were many other trucks and lots of construction equipment we did not get to.  Between Mommy wanting to get in a workout in this morning and David's nap mid-day we just did not have enough time... maybe next year!
