Pennies for Pets

Today David has his last field trip of Ready Rockets.  Angie shifted her schedule for the week.  Mimi kept Adam an extra day this week and David and Angie spent the day together.
David's class collected loose change at the preschool for stray animals.  All together these 12 children collected $179.00.  Today was the day to deliver it to the Humane Society.
They made posters and hung them around the school to advertise their cause.

Then last week they spent two mornings before school collecting coins.  Each child wore a poster and held a cup.:)

Our morning today began at the park where the children enjoyed three hours of play time!  It was so much fun to watch these children interact.  The class is solid.  No one is left out.  They play with everyone.  And they genuinely enjoy each other.  Ready Rockets is a true gift.

Then we headed to the animal shelter where the students donated $179.02

 First we visited the cats...

Then the dogs... these were 8 week old puppies.

The animal shelter gave the class medal for being Texas Animal Hero's!
