The boys once again had a bust Easter weekend, but oh how we enjoyed extra time together.
A package arrived on Wednesday for the boys... David read the label out loud to Adam... he was so excited it was for he and David. The package was delivered stepping off of the school bus, perfect timing.
Finally they found the cards - it was all from Gram and Grandad!
Books, candy, toys, Chick-Fil-A cards and...
money for David's cow fund all came in the box!
David reading the extra note that he was getting money specifically for his cow fund... he is saving to buy a cow because he now wants to raise a cow... on land we don't own.
Adam got to coloring right away.
Saturday we dyed Easter eggs for the bunny to hide... this is the first year David didn't need a stool at the counter.
Beautiful Eggs!
The Easter buuny stopped by and filled the baskets full!
David and Adam slept in David's room that night. David insists the Easter bunny talked to them both... and that he thought the Easter bunny was a Yeti at first. Adam says he must have been to sleepy to remember.
Waking up and coming to see what was downstairs...
Happy Easter!
Then they boys went to gaze at the eggs out the window. They decided it was time to hunt!
David stopped to open each egg along the way to look for money. We finally had to tell him a bunny would not have money... which makes no sense. How does a bunny have candy!? But he thought about it and agreed and then went to town hunting.
Then it was time for church!
After church we went to Mimi and Grandpa Ed's for lunch. Mimi had lots more surprises for the boys, bunnies, candy, toys, and dinosaur stepping stones to paint!
And after lunch there was time for another Easter hunt...
Adam decided it was easier to throw his eggs down to his basket...
So much candy!
We went home and spent the afternoon playing. Our neighbor brought down confetti eggs... and let the boys crack them on her! She is such a great neighbor.
We had a great Easter!
Wow! She is a great neighbor! What a fun day.
