Angie ran a half marathon and had the best cheering squad at mile 13!
David brought is IPod too take pictures of his Mama running.
The boys were invited to a fun birthday party our at our friends ranch.
The built with Magnatiles...
Can you find David?
There was also a war of silly string!
We took the boys to see the new animated Spiderman movie one Saturday when everyone was running low on energy.
Angie was lucky to have another opportunity to learn at Teachers College and this year she taught in Queens. Angie traveled with her closest colleague and they explored the city Saturday night before their first class on Sunday.
They face timed their families from Times Square and no one back in Texas really cared.
Angie snapped this for Greg.
Of course the library was on the list of places to visit.Angie was able to fit in 2 runs in Central Park after class and before dinner.
We found New York Cheesecake!
This was the school Angie was in for the week!
And this is Columbia University
This was Angie's cohort leader - Amanda Hartman. For almost a decade Angie has wanted to meet her. And although Angie had had opportunities to take a class from her over the years and even took a picture with her last year on her birthday - - this was intense work side by side for 4 days. It was the best learning experience!
Here is Angie teaching at PS Q150 and getting coaching from Amanda while she teaches.
And went on a scavenger hunt!
Angie had a friend pick up the boys from Mimi the next day so that Mimi and Grandpa Ed could celebrate their 53 wedding anniversary!
Before leaving the city we ran to one of the places Angie has always wanted to go in the city, but never had time. There was a Dean and Delcua inside of the New York Times building. SO she grabbed her last lunch on her way to Queens.
After returning from NYC Angie had one more opportunity to learn from Staff Developers from Teachers College in Houston.
So a road trip on Saturday was worth hearing the data analysis of our state testing in Texas and what we really need to be doing for children so that they can find success on these assessments!
The boys continue to have friends over and play in the wilderness this month!
And this was our January!
