Pandemic Week 4

This was our 4th week of not leaving home other than a run to HEB... well Greg leaves home each day.  His world hasn't changed a lot. But the boys had a much harder week as they have no outside connection and their mom is pretty occupied all day long with work.
Monday night we did take a walk to check on Mimi and Ed.  We stood on the side walk while they stayed on their porch.
This week the boys made a coffee shop...
And pet store...
We saw several more snakes on our walks this week
And the critters are out too.  This was a big scorpion...
Our neighborhood has painted rocks all over and people are hiding them in fun places...

Adam napped again this week.
Our house became a tattoo parlor when Angie was on a 5 hour call one morning...
David would ride by friends houses and take selfies and then send it to them since he can't go say hi in person...
Both of the boys teachers called this week... here is David talking to his teacher.
David did a taste test with Holly to see what treat she likes best... she went for the biggest piece...
One of David's science assignments was to make a paper airplane and measure how far it went.  Then he had to make adjustment and fly again... and then a third time.  Force and motion was the assignment here.

Holly learned how to fetch...
the boys played in the backyard on the sunny days...
Adam helped with dinner and setting the table this week because his social studies assignment was to be a helper at home...
We ordered caterpillars and they came this week.  4 out of 5 seem to have survived.
Holly got a free day at Doggy Day Care which was very helpful as she barks often when Angie is trying to work.

We found painted rocks all week long...
This one was up high in the tree and said HOPE!

The boys found trees to climb and trails to ride...

houses to visit

With lots of JOY along the way!
Here is a little learning from the week -
Adam wrote two stories...
Science was vocabulary this week and how things move...

There was music...
David did some math...
And Adam was questioning as he read this week...

Our neighbors made a 7 hole golf course in a greenbelt in the neighborhood.  It is fun to go down and play at Skimmarron At Coves End.  There is a practice range, fairways, roughs and sand traps.
This is the practice range...
Each hole has a tee box complete with extra tee's...
Each hole is made with the lid of a 5 gallon bucket...
Each hole is measured and marked

Each hole has a laminated flag at the hole.

Another week in the books.

  1. Truly enjoy seeing what the boys have been doing during the stay at home orders. We really like the golf course and watching the boys (and Greg) play. This is such a creative fun idea with all the golf parts... name, driving range, tees, flags, markers, fair ways and more. Love y'all, G & G
