Pandemic Week 15 - Summer Week 6

We received a package and Holly wanted to bring it in...

Saturday Greg grilled and we had steaks from Goodstock - Nolan Ryan's new butcher shop. We thought they were much better than Whole Foods. We also had a super hero come to help with dinner.

The boys played in their water beads again this week...
And Saturday night was another S'mores night.

Sunday was a family day at home cleaning and getting ready for the week.  There was a family game of Lite Bright... kind of like Pictionary. One person begins creating and the first to guess the picture correctly won.
Monday David got up early and mowed Ed's lawn after we took Holly on a long walk.
The boys used the last of their birthday Chick-Fil-A gift cards from Gram and Grandad for lunch.
Everyone rested on the way after a long hot morning.

Tuesday began like all other mornings with a walk for Holly... and the boys wore their new shirts from Ms. Stacy for watching Hazel all of last week.
We played outside and it was hot...

Then we got a surprise package in the mail from Luke and Lila.  The boys have created several projects... this is really fun!  If you need a craft this weaving Loom has been entertaining and the boys have coasters for water in their rooms and Angie has a new pot holder.

Batman came just before dinner to save the day!
Wednesday morning we were up early to drive to Wimberly to swim at JAcob's Well.  But before we left David finished his first weaving project.
Jacob's well was so fun.  It is 60 ft. down and then turns into a cave.  There were divers there telling the boys how to dive and what they were doing down in the cave.  They didn't get below 50ft. because it is pitch black... they did find an Apple Watch though.

The boys really wanted to jump / dive into the well.  At first Angie told them no.  But there were 4 "experts" familiar with the area that told us what to do and it ended up being perfectly safe.  The boys had so much fun.

Wednesday afternoon we tried a new place... The Healthy Hub.  David really wanted a milkshake.  This was the compromise... well neither boy drank their healthy shake.  Angie liked them, but we will not be going back for the boys.

Thursday our new caterpillars arrived.  For Christmas the boys received a butterfly kit from Gram and Grandad.  We let our butterfly's go on April 18th - and the boys really wanted to fo it again.  So, for their birthday's Gram and Grandad sent more caterpillars.
We also got fun journals that the boys have places to record, do math, word searches and create the life cycle.

Also, Thursday Angie began what ended up being a 9.5 hour test.  She did 5 hours Thursday and almost 5 hours Friday... but she finished, passed and has a new certification for her resume.
Friday Tyler came over and brought Clarabelle to play with Holly.
It was hot so we all went to the pool. Our friends took pictures with their underwater camera...

And it is hard to believe Angie only has one more week at home for the summer... even being home this summer is going too too fast!
